caribe royale? Has anyone stayed at the caribe royale after renovations? Please let me know what you think/trying to decide if i should book/thanks for input!

I would also be interested in hearing from anyone who has stayed at the Caribe Royale recently.

I am travelling with a group as part of a convention taking place there, so I have booked the 1 br villa. I heard somewhere that the two beds may not be queensize, but double instead. Does any know for sure?

I would also like to know if there are any grocery stores nearby (walking distance) or a convenience store on the property. Since the buffet breakfast is not included with our convention rate, I thought I would like to pick up some cereal, milk, yogurt, fresh fruit to have breakfast in the hotel room, since there is a fridge.

Any help would be appreciated.

We stayed next door at the Buena Vista Suites and there is a convenience store and CVS across the street from these hotels. They carry food that can easily be warmed or made in microwave, cereal, milk, and yogurt but not fruit. The closest grocery store - Publix - is not within walking distance.
Buffet Breakfast is included at BV Suites and is very plentiful. Would recommend BV Suites which does have 2 queen beds in the room.

We stayed in the Caribe Royale last August and the beds are queens and very comfortable. There is a deli in the hotel where you can get cereal, milk, yogurt, fresh fruit, muffins etc., to either eat in the seating area near by (or the ones by the pool) or take back to your room. Later in the day they do hot lunch items, we liked the Caribe its a great resort.
