Stayed 5/5 and 5/6 with my husband and two kids 4 and 2. This was the ending of a week trip at Disney Boardwalk Villas. Now
the good, bad and ugly.
We found the hotel in general to be very nice. The lobby area is very pretty and we thought the pool area was good. I agree with above that the towels are terrible and the personnel although very nice, not very helpful. Because of the ages of our kids, we stayed mostly in the kiddie pool area which was fantastic perfect for toddlers. My only complaint is that there is no shade and there are no umbrellas.
The room was nice. It appeared very clean and although the size was adequate compared to the Disneys Villas, Caribe felt small.
We quickly discovered that the main business for this hotel is conferences. There seemed to be thousands of them everywhere. They over ran the pool area by noon time being loud and obnoxious. They stole chairs from the kiddie area to put in main area. Getting lunch on site was almost impossible with all the crowds. The elevators and hallways were full of trash and empty beer cans. Noise levels were loud day and night. The second night was aweful with the whole family up most of the night. People actually banging on our door at 4 in the morning.
We did not get any deals booking this place and paid well over $200 a night.
In summary: if you stay here, convention people come first at the Caribe and if you are unlucky like us and get rowdy crowd you are in for a rough weekend. I liked the place, loved the pools but wouldnt bring my family back. For this price we could have stayed somewhere down the strip twice as long.
