This past April 2005 we stayed at POP with our then 4 1/2 yr old DS. It was great. In May 2006 we have a chance to go back to WDW. I would like to stay at an moderate/deluxe style hotel and just like to take the adventure to stay off-site. I do come across good deals for this hotel periodically. How is the hotel with a child? Are they child-friendly? We will be renting a car. Mousesavers gives it a good review. Plus the photos I see make it a pretty hotel.

Thanks

Just got back yesterday from there. We were in Orlando for two weeks and stayed there 4 nights. There is a small living room type area w/ a pull out couch, microwave, and refrig. The bedroom had two queens. We were on the 5th floor w/a beautiful view of the pool. It was fine for DD, as she loved the pool slide and went about a million times. The pool area is beautiful, and had plenty of towels. However, there is not much for kids other than the pool. If you go, have fun! We had no complaints. (They also let us check in early!)

Thanks for the reply! We will be going to the parks but my DH and I wanted the accommodations to be a little bit more upscale. We enjoy the WDW value resorts but for the same price of onsite value we can stay at Caribe. A different look, interior rooms, and of course more space. I read they have a 24 hour market/cafe. Did you make any purchases there? How was the pricing? We will be renting a car so we will also have many dining options. How long did it take to get to the parks?

Glad you had a nice vacation
