We will be traveling to WDW 9/28/04 for 1 week and plan to stay at a moderate resort. Is there a specific location in the Caribbean Beach resort that is better? Our children are 18 months and 6 years.

You may want to be close to the food court, with buildings immediately on either side being a preferred category (about $15 a day extra) Trinidad North and Martinique. Bus Stop also very close. We were at Trinidad North over Easter and the location was ideal, although we did request Martinique with ressies. CBR is a great resort and I'm sure you will enjoy all it has to offer including fun themed pool by food court. We have been there several times and will be there again within fifteen months. Good Luck!

If you don't want to pay extra for a preferred location than I would suggest Jamaica. It is across the lake from OPR and the main pool. Just call central reservations and have it noted in your reservation.

I agree with Safteymom- Jamacia is a good spot :) Away from all the 'hustle and bustle', but a short 5 (ish) minute walk to all the amenities in the main area :) Also, if you want to be close but want to pay the standard rate, request one of the 2 buildings mentioned by macnodos at check in. If they can accomodate you, you might just get a complimentary upgrade :) I like Jamacia, but if you like to be 'in the middle of it all' the other 2 are good choices too :)

Stayed in Jamacia twice and enjoyed it very much. A very nice walk to the main pool, etc. :bounce: Going this Aug. with friends that NEVER been there:hyper: and staying at N.Trinidad:Pinkbounc Want to be close to everything for the 1st timers.

I also agree with Jamaica! I just came back from there last week. we had room 4438 but with kids go for a 1st floor. 4422 looked great, right by the quite pool and path to footbridge!

Isn't Jamaica one of the first bus stops in that resort too?

One year we stayed at Trinidad South...we didn't mind the walk (it was just my DH (boyfriend at the time) and I)...but we never, ever got a seat on the bus. It was always pretty packed by the time it got around to us.

Jamaica is my favorite location as well.

You're close to the main pool/food court via a quick walk over the bridge, yet you're far enough away from OPR to enjoy the peace & quiet. Jamaica has a lovely quiet pool that faces the lake.

Also, Jamaica has it's own playground equipment on the beach. Your kids would probably love that!
