Caribbean Resort Drum Making

Has anyone ever participated in the Drum Making activity at the Caribbean? We are arriving at the end of the month and I was curious what it is? Price and/or pictures. Anything would of help.

Any info to report? We're checking in on 6/11...though I'm not sure encouraging my kids to make drums and a 16 hour drive back home is the best idea.

haha, yes! We did make one on Thursday. It is $12, and I wouldn’t consider it a real drum. My 14 year old was upset to see that it was a plastic bucket where you glue strips of paper onto it and then attach two pieces of fake leather to either side with some simple jute rope. His little percussionist heart was really hoping for something and little more elaborate.

My 10 year old did make one, it took the whole hour to complete. Once I can get on my home computer, I will upload pictures. Our flight landed at 1am and we did not get home until 2:30 this morning. We are still resting up from the week!

@mommyhollar - would you mind posting a photo of the drums when you get a chance, please? Doesn't quite sound like it's worth $12, but it might be something the younger kids would enjoy. Thanks!

Would you have any idea on how to load pictures onto this board? I have tried multiple times and have been unsuccessful. I have tried from my iPhone and my laptop.

Oh, I didn't mean for you to go to any trouble! I'm on Android, but on my phone you just click the little photo icon (or the Attach Files button) to attach a photo. But no worries if you can't get it to work, I'm just an over-planner, lol.

I understand the over planner thing. I think you almost have to over plan when going to Disney! When I click the photo button it asks me to attach an URL for the photo. I really wish I could figure this out. i don’t know why it is so hard for me!
