Caribbean or Coronado?!

We stayed at CSR during Easter/Spring Break/Peak season in 2005. The parks were packed, we couldn't get any seatings at any restaurant (wish I had known about making ADR's), but CSR was quiet--almost an oasis in the middle of all the chaos. Our family loves it there.

I also have to say I don't like the Pepper Market either. But I do like CSR and CBR. I would stay at either again. The food was better at CBR for us but the transportaion was better at CSR. We were at CSR in June this year. The beds are really confortable at CSR. I hope on the next trip to CBR that they have pillow top mattresses also.

I adore CSR. Just came back from my 5th stay there this past May. Great location. Most central of all the resorts to the parks and they have the most ammenities of all the mods (health club, beauty salon, more room service, etc...)
I do have to say, I was a cheerleader of the Pepper Market, but the last meal I had at the Mexican station was awful. Nothing like it used to be a few years ago. I have a feeling the dining plan has made them dumb down some of their entrees and get cheaper ingredients. I do have to say, if you stick with regular items such as burgers, chicken, breakfast items you should be ok. I really like their cheeseburgers. Breakfast is also good.

We will be arriving at the Coronado on September 1 (26 days) for our fifth stay there (once with the kids, and four times on our own). My husband likes the Pepper Market...I can take it or leave it. The food at the Caribbean was okay...but not much better in my opinion. But with the Dining Plan we have so many options of where to dine, that we prefer staying at the Coronado (we have also stayed at the Contemporary--when the kids were really little and the Polynesian--most recently in 2004 when we took our oldest son and his girlfriend for his high school graduation. The Coronado fits our needs and we don't mind the walking at all.

If it's anything like last year, it didn't get added until late in the year.

Buzz is right, it will most likely get added after contract negotiations are complete (as it was last year).

Although the main pool will be closed, there are quiet pools located at each "island" at CBR in addition to the "beaches" with hammocks that surround the lake.

I appreciated the double sinks at CBR especially with a family of four. CBR rooms are also slightly larger than any other moderate resort (enough to be able to add the double sinks at least).

If you haven't been to either resort, take a look at the pics and see which one appeals more to you. They are both beautiful resorts and each has it's pros and cons. If you have any questions about either, just post and you WILL receive plenty of advice here.

Happy Planning!

We Have been to both and CSR wins hands down! Best food, pool and transportation!:thumbsup2

CBR rules! CSR was just to big for us. Pepper Market was a little shock in terms of how much the food cost as opposed to CBR and thier CS. I like that I can go over all of CBR property fairly easily.
