I was informed that the main pool is under rehab and will not be available during my visit. Are the quiet pools accessible or am I out of luck as far as swimming goes.

Each CBR village has a quiet pool so swimming is definitely not out of the picture. There are pictures of the quiet pools on the www.allearsnet.com website. Just click on Accommodations and scroll down to the CBR.

There's even a small slide installed at one of the quiet pools during the rehab. Right now, I just can't remember which "island" it is at, I'm sure someone here will know.

After looking at the photos of the pools none seem to be accessible. They are not zero entry and none seem to have the steps where you can slide from your w/c seat and bump down the steps holding the railing.

I know the pool at Aruba has a handicap step. In the upper left hand corner (by the life preserver hanging on the wall) of this picture you can see the "extra" two steps with railing.

I would ask on the disabilities board. Someone is bound to have the answer. I have pictures of the pools on my website but don't remember seeing an handicapped accessible entry point.

I don't think anyone (including myself, an advocate for individuals with disabilities) understood that you meant wheelchair accessible.
