Are all of the king bed rooms handicapped acces. or are some of them "regular " rooms with bathtubs? Thanks! I'd hate to take up a handicapped acces. room when that isn't why I would want the king room.

I have a question about the eateries at CBR. At the food court, do they ask for ID when ordering? My kids will have just barely turned 10, (a few days prior) and the stuff they like is on the kids menu, like chicken strips, mac & cheese. Can I go up to the counter and order theirs? Also at Shutter's the same thing. I am willing to pay an adult price or something but the boys will want to order mac&cheese or chicken nuggets. Think I can do this? They wont even begin to eat the stuff on the adult menu.

No age-proof necessary. I've ordered kids' meals at WDW counter-service places before. I do it at fast food places around home, too. I'm not doing it to get away with anything, it's just that sometimes I don't want as much food as a regular adult (I wish I felt that way ALL the time!!!!!).

Looking for travel times from CBR to various parks and resorts.. anyone know where I could find this info, or if you know approximately the time for the places below:

CBR to

MK
Epcot
MGM
AK
Contemporary Resort
Grand Floridian
Ft. Wilderness
Wilderness Lodge
Ohana

Thanks!

Great review of your stay at CBR. We were there late Sept thru first week of Oct. I also found it very clean, especially our room. I noticed they even raked the sand on all the beaches very early in the morning and aligned all the beach chairs in rows. If your were first on the beach in the morning enjoying a cup of coffee you got to leave the first foot prints of the day. Very cool!

Regarding the 10year old boys, I had a similiar experience because my DD just turned 3 our last trip. She eats like a bird, so I really didn't feel guilty telling the ADR people and our hostess at TS she was 2. I brought food for her mostly anyway... Also, at CS, they could care less who is eating the food. We were on the DDP, and it caused no havic. I paid for her to have a DDP at a 3yo rate, but really didn't use it much for her. We wound up using her allotments for snacks, or obviously for her if she was having a hungry day.

Anyway, you shouldn't have a problem. Speak to your server at TS, and with CS I don't think you will have issue at all.

Have a great trip. :mickeybar

It was either the Unofficial Guide or the Passporter which had the travel time (by car) from each resort to the parks. I don't have my book with me right now, but will try to grab it tonight so I can look and post for tomorrow (if someone else doesn't beat me to it). If I remember correctly, it's not more than 10 minutes to any of the parks from CBR. I don't know about from CBR to other resorts though.

I order kid's meals for myself! :teeth: I did it at CBR and around the parks, no problem.

we are currently planning a trip for september, and are 90% sure we want to stay at CBR. On our last trip in May, we stayed at POFQ, and LOVED it, but I'd still like to try something new. We want to pay extra to get a king-sized bed, so when I book the package online, I'll select that...When you pay for a king, are you also paying for a preferred location? I'm a bit confused by it. From what I can gather from this board, Jamaica seems like a good bet for us. Can I ask for a king in Jamaica? Any other building recommendations? While we like kids, we'd rather not stay in a 'noiser' building. And definitely not in any of the really, really far away buildings either. Thanks for any help!

You are getting a king bed rooms somewhere in the resort. I don't really think there are noisy locations at CBR.

I believe Safety Mom is right. We stayed in Jamaica this Sept- Oct and loved it. The resort is very peaceful at any location, we had a pool side room; at first we thought it would be loud and crazy by the pool but it wasn't. Plenty of peace and quite when we needed it.

Thanks for the links! The second one was just what I was looking for :) I'm a little worried now, over a couple of our ADR's, and the time it will take to get to them.. about 90 minutes! Seems crazy! LOL For example, we have a 7:30 ADR for Chef Mickey's one morning, and it says it will take 90 min. to get there. I'm thinking since we don't have any park plans that day, it would be quicker for us just to drive (only 6 miles!).. I won't have any problems with parking, will I?

When I booked our vacation, I requested Jamaica.. can't wait! :)

Anyone know how far it is from CBR to Wilderness Lodge (miles)? I can't find it anywhere.. it's not on that chart that was mentioned earlier.

The chart said it was 7 miles from CBR to Fort Wilderness so that should work for WL too, I would think.

We are staying in the CBR for the second week of our holiday the first being at the pop centuary. We are getting married on the 30/11/06,so this will be our honeymoon.Regards to the room locations,we are travelling with virgin holidays and they don't really ask what rooms you prefer unless you have paid the extra for the preferred location.Would it be worth me telephoning the CBR and stating that we would like our rooms togeather(as my mom has her own room and is registered disabled) and not too far from the fod court/bus stop? I have read that you guys recommend the Jamaica blocks 45 and 46.Im not too fussed on the building but as it is our honeymoon do you think they will give us a nice room.Obviously I understand that requests cannot always be guarenteed but am I right in saying that November/December is a bit quieter in the resorts.Any help would be appreciated as we leave in 15 days :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc and then I will become a disney zapped bride   (sorry english humour!!)
Thankyou

Alyson :woohoo: :woohoo:

It will probably be very busy when you go. If your room is booked through Virgin talking with the resort really won't help. I would just ask nicely when you check in.

Hi !
I understand the price difference between "preferred" and those villages that are not preferred. But is there a price difference for a water view vs a garden or parking lot view. My ressie states "standard" room----it's all that was left. Can I request a lake/beach view (I understand I won't get Martinique or North Trinidad, but is a lake/water view only for preferred ? I'm thinking not, because someone could be places very far from the food court and still have a water view ? So my question is, how many different categories are there at CBR ? Sorry for the questions.....this will be my first stay in Dec.
Thanks !

Standard View
Water View
Preferred location
King Bed

There is no category for courtyard view. You can request a water view but your likely not to get it if the resort is full since it is a paid category.
