Can you tell me if there are Bibles in the rooms at CBR? I'm in the middle of leading 1 study and participating in another, and not having to pack one more thing would be nice. Thanks.

King James version in ours.

Does anyone know how long the the bus rides are to the different parks.
I'm sure there are tested, well-informed stats on this, but my recollection is that, from the time the bus leaves CBR, MGM is 5 minutes or less, Epcot is over 5 but less than 10, and MK and AK are both about a good 15 minutes or so.

Sounds about right to me. :thumbsup2

MK is the longest. We just got back and I didn't like how long the bus ride was to MK. I'd say at least 20 minutes or more. The other parks were much quicker 5-10 Minutes.

I'm leaving TOMORROW for the CBR! Do you have any photo requests for me or anything I can check on while I'm there? :cool1:

I'm thinking the answer is no, but are there balconies? I believe the moderates don't have them right?

nope, no balconies. That's a bummer...I'd love a balcony.

Another thread on this board announced that the CBR main pool was being closed until 2008. I am going in Dec 06, so I call to confirm.

Kim, the CM, told me that the main pool is scheduled for rehab starting in Jan 2008 until ????.Disney just released the information to travel agents on 10/16 and it appears some of them misunderstood.

:thumbsup2

Have never stayed at a Moderate going in May for Starwars weekend to surprise son for his b-day. Bus service to MGM better here or CSR? I keep reading how CSR doesn't share buses & are quick to parks.

In the bigger pools is their shallow ends for my 4 yr old who doesn't swim?

CBR doesn't share buses with other resorts, either.

Funny you mention MGM -- CBR is literally around the corner from it. It's a 5 minute or less drive from CBR to MGM.

I can't comment on CSR because I've never stayed there, but I love CBR. And it IS quite convenient to MGM!

I'm here now, and the CBR has large steps that lead down into the pools, even the quiet pools, for your 4 year old to play on. Life jackets are readily available. Enjoy!

Hi! Hope you are having a blast! We'll be joining you teher next week for our first ever stay at the CBR. I have paid for preferred view and have requested a room in Trinidad North. Could you post a few pix of TN 31, especially something that shows relation of this building to OPR and main pool. Thanks!

Hopefully, you booked "preferred location" and not "water view." If you booked a water view and request a preferred location, you don't have great odds of getting preferred location.

I was last in Trinidad North 33, the fathest of the TNs from OPR. It was farther away than I thought it would be, but it was still pretty close.

I don't know how well this link will work -- if the map will center where I want it to. But on my computer, when I look at the pic in this link in as large a format as possible, the cluster of buildings at the very bottom, in the center, is Trinidad North 31 (each CBR "building" is actually a cluster of about 4 buildings connected by first and second floor walkways).

The thin ribbon pf path to the left of TN 31 is the main walkway around the lake. In that pic, walk towards the top of the pic. You'll first see OPR's beach on the left side of that path. Across from that beach, to the right of the path, are two brown roofed-buildings that are part of the pool complex (lockers/bathrooms).

The shortest route to OPR is to turn right at those buildings and then walk between the kiddie pool (the blue circle to the right) and the main pool (a sort-of sideways Hidden Mickey, turned counter-clockwise 90 degrees, which is tough to see because of the bridge over the pool). It's tough to see in this pic, but there's a sidewalk that leads to a side door to OPR, that opens into the main gift shop. You are now inside the OPR building.

If you look all the way to the right side of the pic from the OPR complex, you'll see the OPR bus stop (small green roof, bus conveniently next to it). In this pic, the buses travel from the top to the bottom. AFter a bus stops at OPR, it stops next at Trinidad North. TN's bus stop is nearest building 33.

The little bit of beach and building you see across the lake from TN belong to Jamaica.

Hopefully, you see the pic in the link as I see it, otherwise this was one big waste of a post .... :confused3

we have never stayed on site before but are thinking about CBR next year can you explain to me what a preferred room is please.
