How long to get from CBR to MK

or CBR to AK? If I have 9:30 breakfasts plan, when should I plan to leave. Honestly, I have no idea and I will have to get DS and DH up and out. Thanks.

Are you using WDW transportation?

If so, we always catch a bus about an hour before our ADR and have plenty of time.

HI I have a question about eh rehabbed rooms at CRB...... Are ALL the rooms a nemo theme???? My DH and I are locals and we were thinking about a night at WDW but i honestly don't want to be "anniversarying" in a room with a cute little nemo border? KWIM? :confused3 I have four LITTLE kids ( all under 6) and I need a adult environment!!!

TIA!

I also have a question about the newer rooms. Are they in every building?

I'm in a standard room & thinking that I would like to be in Jamaica or Barbados...not sure if standards are available in those areas...

Ok, we've all read the threads about rooms not being ready at check-in if you check in early. And last year we checked early, around 1:00 pm and we were very lucky our room was ready, but this year our plane gets into MCO at 2:05 pm. We are taking ME, so I don't expect to get to CBR until after 3:00 pm, but what happens if we get there and our room isn't ready, or worse what if there are no more Preferred Rooms available, which we reserved and paid for? I know I'm probably asking a rediculous question, but it definitely has crossed my mind once or twice. What do the CM's at CBR do then?

Just don't get Martinique or Barbados. Jamaica, Aruba and the Trinidads have not been refurbed yet. Not sure when your dates are though?

That's not so late, really. :) Try not to worry - the CM's will not give away your preferred room!:thumbsup2

Can you request certain rooms? and if so it must have to be requested early. Will they tell you when the free dining starts next year?

Welcome to the Disboards Carly Chloe! Yes, you can request certain rooms, however, most people I believe just request certain buildings. Unfortunately they won't tell you when free dining will start next year. Normally the Free Dining Deal is the later part of August through September. The announcement for Free Dining normally comes out around the 1st of April. Keep checking here, but especially under the Codes and Rates section of the Disboards. Also keep your eye on www.wdwinfo.com and www.mousesavers.com.

Do you know which building is better? In Martinique - either #26 which looks closer to the bus stop too or #25 which is closer to the lake. In Trinidad North #31 looks close too. Which side is better or closer? Does anyone have any pics of how close they actually are to the pool and resturants? Thanks. We've only stayed at the value resorts and want to move up.

Martinique 26, 25 and 24 and/or all buildings in Trinidad North are considered Preferred Location and cost about $20 extra per night for the close proximity to OPR. I would suggest requesting Martinique 25 or 26 or Trinidad North 31 if you're paying for Preferred Location.

Jamaica 45 (building right at the end of the bridge that leads to OPR), 46, 44 or Aruba 51 or 52 are the closest to OPR and are standard rooms...don't have to pay for preferred with a 5 minute walk to OPR.

There was a link a few pages back that I had that shows arial views of CBR that shows what buildings are where. I'll try to find that link again. We absolutely love CBR...it feels deluxe without having to pay for deluxe.

Our family of 5 are thinking of staying here our next vacation to disney. We would need 2 rooms and I would like the preferred location. The priority is having connecting rooms and I know they're not guaranteed so I don't want to limit our chances by requesting too many things. Anybody pay preferred location connecting rooms and get them? Should I just pay for the preferred location and then upon arrival if we can't get connecting rooms there and they have connecting rooms in another location take that and get a credit?

Augghh....I wish Disney would guarantee connecting rooms.....but I know thats another topic. ;)

Thanks,
Dan

Trinidad North and Martinique are about the same disntance from OPR and the pool. Martinique may be a tad closer.

At this point the rooms in Martinique have been refurbished, the ones in Trinidad North have not.

Because your children are young there should not be a problem at all in getting connecting rooms with the door that opens from one room to the other. I would pay for preferred location, 1st request being adjoining rooms,
2nd request being the building and whether you want 1st or 2nd floor. There are no elevators here so if you'll be hauling strollers you may not want 2nd floor. I've never had a problem in getting the requests that I've made at CBR.

I found the Local Live Maps... http://www.willcad.org/disney_maps.shtml#mods

Scroll to Moderate Resorts and then click on Local Live of CBR.

Unfortunately the Local Live isn't so Live...the arial view doesn't show the renovations and new additions to the main pool...but it gives you an idea how close the buildings are in relation to the main pool and OPR.

With the referbs, why is it they are not putting in queen beds like they are at CSR? We stayed recently at CSR and it was great having the larger beds! I would think if they do it for one Moderate, they would do it for all of them since you are paying the same amount of money. Is there a reason?

This resort was so big I didn't feel like I really got to see it. I liked our room though and the resort was right in the middle of everything so it was a good location.

Thank you - I think this is what we'll do.

Be sure to request connecting rooms, not adjoining rooms. Connecting means having an inside door which opens between the rooms. Adjoining means next door or nearby, but no connecting door. Then when you arrivem if you've not been assigned connecting rooms, work the CM at check-in to help you fund rooms.

Also, I might suggest booking a preferred location then then following requests:

1. Connecting rooms
2. Martinque

We've requested this a few times since 1988 and have always been accommodated. Twice we had a lovely corner room, with a connecting room, jus a few stops from the bus stop. Short walk to OPR and main pool and quite pool was just around the corner.

It was a parking lot view, but all we saw were flowers and palm trees. It was perfect!

Have a great trip!!
