Caribbean Beach Resort FAQ Part 3

We sill be arriving Monday the 18th. My new DW is going for her first "real" trip to DW, (She went to EPCOT many years ago. They went in @10, and left @4, so I do not think that counts as an official visit.) and wants to get as many pix of EVERYTHING as possible. With this said, I will try to get some decent pix of the pool area, and post them Saturday the 23rd.

Oh good! My parents will be at the CBR on September 4 & 5 and I'll have my mom take pics too. Yay!

Then we all move to BWV. Can't wait for that either!!!!!!!!!

ahect offered a couple of cases of water to anyone that wanted it. Unfortunately, I was a little late getting there, and both were gone.

Sorry, both are already spoken for. If you still want to have water, I ordered them from Costco.com and had them shipped directly to the resort. Even though I am not a Costco member I only paid $7.50 per case including shipping. If you wanted to order some, you can find them at http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...e=1&lang=en-US

We all know how bad the water is @DW, and for less than $16, you can have two cases of bottled water waiting on you when you arrive. That includes a whooping 70 cents for not being a member of Costco, AND the shipping!

My opinion of ahect is one of the best! Thanks for a great tip.

My order is being processed as I type. We leave Monday morning @6AM on the silver bird, and now have good water for the trip.

Post pictures of the new Pirate and Nemo themed rooms also!!! I am so curious to know if the pirate ship shaped boats in the drawing take up more of the walking space in each room compared to the other rooms we are used to. When are those rooms going to be ready???

I'm at CBR right now. We just got back from EMH at HS and I'm too wound up to go to sleep. The internet service is fine. All you have to do is plug your computer into the cord provided by CBR, power up your computer and then go to the internet. A CBR screen will come up and it walks you through the consents and approvals. There was no passcode necessary, so that is an apparent change from before. The instructions in the room are very clear and concise.

I would like to know more about CBR quick dining...

I've stayed at CSR and POP and have been happy with the selection/variety at both. I will have two young kids with me that will want the usual kid fare (hot dogs, chicken nuggets, pizza, tacos, spaghetti) but I am also interested in what else is offered for the adults. Do you have any favorites? We will probably not do a lot of table service meals at the resort - so I am more interested in your thoughts on the counter service.

How is the gift shop? I really liked the Pop Century one (great for kids with the potato head selection) and I also liked CSRs. And bus transportation? We will not have a car.

Thanks...we think we might like CBR and are deciding whether to give it a try!

Really, we loved the cheeseburgers and fries! Lame, I guess, but oh well, they are really yummy and we always go there our first night for dinner! We also really like the gift shop. Not huge, but just love shopping there and seeing the newest stuff. We really feel at home here and at CBR!

I did just casually mention it when booking and then when checking in I asked about the Birthday Button so that gave me the oportunity to mention it again at the front desk. .....QUOTE]

Well I had to switch to a moderate today from WL to save $$$$. Of course CBR preferred was all booked up. What are the chances that it will open up? Our trip is in October. I really wanted one of the new Nemo rooms. Are they doing all of Martinque first?

I found it interesting that the Offical Home Page for the Caribbean Beach Resort has edited the photo to incude a pirate flag and skull/bones logo in the water.

We have never stayed here before, however for our Nov trip we were going to stay at asmo's. Then when the general public discounts were announced. I called my ta and she tried to get rebook at asmo's but it was full, so I decided to upgrade to a mod. I chose cbr and she called and was able to rebook for only $9 more than what we were going to pay at asmo's. I have always wanted to stay here and look forward to it now more than before. Esp after reading this thread today.

The first time we arrived around noon and our room wasn't ready until close to 3, so the second time we were prepared to wait, arriving around 11am but our room WAS ready! I think it just depends....

HELP!! I have been planning vacation for family of 7 (3 rooms with 5 adults and 2 young children) for Coronado for months. With the new discount code, I was only able to get the discount for CBR. I have only stayed there once, 10 years ago, and can't say it was my favorite. I am sure the resort will be great but would really love any tips on the resort.

I have looked through this thread and have seen mention of newly refurbished rooms. What areas are these in? Like most I am sure, I would prefer to stay in those rooms and would like to put a request in in hopes to get it when I check in.

I appreciate any feedback as I have been named as vacation planner and am feeling quite the heavy load now that the resort has changed and have only 60 days until vacation time.

I was down at Old Port Royale today, and the pool itself is finished! The new slide structure is completely painted, and the scaffolding has been taken down. The changing rooms building has been painted and tiled, and it looks like the only work left is to put the shingles on its roof. Unfortunately I was coming back from Blizzard Beach so I didn't have my camera with me.

Hi all,

Just stopping by quick to say that we have just switched to CBR. We were originally booked at POP but changed to CBR for virtually nothing extra with the GP codes that came out. We stayed here back in 2005 and loved it. We had a preferred room that time but are unable to get one for this trip. I'm going to request Jamaica bldgs 44, 45, 46, should I wait till four days before I leave to make my request or do you think my AAA agent could get our request into the reservation system???

Qyestion to all of you CBR experts.....I have a room booked to arrive Sept 7, and had requested Jamaica. I know it's only a request and they can put me wherever they please. While there we will be celebrating my youngest's 4th Birthday. I am considering a Nemo room, since the main pool should be open by then. Should I ,change my request now and ask for a Nemo room, or just ask the CM when I get there and maybe mention my daughter's birthday. Will my price go up if I ask now?

Any help or advice would be appreciated!!!
