Does anyone have an e-mail address for the resort please!? It will my son's birthday while we are there, do they usually do anything special?

There really isn't any one e-mail address for the resort. You would have to contact the resort (or reservation center) by phone to put in your request. Once you talk to someone on the phone you may be able to get a specific e-mail address should you have any further requests. Sometimes if they know it's a birthday guest, they'll arrange for some room decorations and such, nothing too big.

Did you tell them when making the ressie? And do mention it again when checking in.

My son received from the CBR balloons and a card with pic of Mickey and Minnie. And from Central Reservations he received a YOMD birthday certificate.

Just be aware they may do nothing. You can get a birthday button from lobby concierge. Many people visit the resorts celebrating something and they don't so something for everyone.

Does anyone know when all the rooms will be done renovations? (the nemo rooms, not the pirates) Since they seemed to start with the preferred buildings, I am wondering if I need to book preferred to be sure of getting a renovated room. But we are not traveling until either March or May so I am wondering if they will all be done by then anyway. Thanks!

Can someone tell me how the room temperature is controlled?? Can you set the temp. yourself or is there a motion sensor in the room which determines when the a/c comes on and goes off?? We've stayed at CSR in the past and there was a way to override the settings and I just was wondering if you can do the same thing at CBR. Thanks!

You can set the temp yourself from the floor unit below the window.

Pool is still scheduled to reopen the last week of August.

Does anyone know how true the time frames really are? I guess I am wondering if there is a chance the pool will not be reopened by early October.

when I booked in April they told me mid-September for the pool, based on the pictures on this thread I would say they are much closer to end of Aug for opening

We just left yesterday. They were doing some painting and some finishing concrete work inside the pool. I have some pictures from Saturday or Sunday I will post as soon as I get them off the camera.

What do you say, just casually mention it, or make a point of saying you are having a bday? We are celebrating both of our bdays, the anniversary of my 39th, for the 11th time, and my daughters 18th. That would be cool if they did a small something for her, she'd love the surprise!

Hi! We're going to CBR this weekend...just wondering if the Banana Cabana is open with all the renovations going on around the pool? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I'm at CBR right now. We just got back from EMH at HS and I'm too wound up to go to sleep. The internet service is fine. All you have to do is plug your computer into the cord provided by CBR, power up your computer and then go to the internet. A CBR screen will come up and it walks you through the consents and approvals. There was no passcode necessary, so that is an apparent change from before. The instructions in the room are very clear and concise.

The pool bar is open even though the main pool is not. The main pool looks like it needs a couple more weeks of work and then will be done. It will be fabulous -- at least it looks that way over the tops of the screens and where you can peek looks through certain areas.

We are in Aruba and everything except the carpet looks fresh and clean. The bedspreads are very bright and look new to me. So do the curtains. We've not walked over to Martinique to see the Nemo rooms, but that's not a big deal to me.

Bus service has been very good (of course, we've been here only a bit more than 24 hours, so . . .)

So far, so good.

Hi all,

Just found you more pictures of the pool construction. We now have WATER in the pools and kiddie pools!

By the looks of things, it should be completed in the coming weeks. For everyone staying September 1st, your chances of experincing the new pool is great!


There is some additonal rock/castle painting to finish, installing more fences and finishing the roof on the restrooms.

What's is the difference between the old pool and the new?
forgive me I'm new to this resort.

I also read they were putting slides in the quiet pools too?
Is that true?
