So now that I'm all booked.

When do you put in room requests?

Call Disney or your travel agent and they can add requests to your file. If you also want to sent a fax wait until 4 days before you arrive, but many resorts ignore the faxes and only look at the notes in your file that are placed there by your travel agent or the Disney Reservations Center.

:thumbsup2 thanks. I'm on it.

Sorry if this has already been talked about. :) Just wondered how you (and your luggage) get to your room from the Custom House upon check-in? I have recently read a couple of posts complaining that you can't take your luggage on the internal transportation and they had to wait for someone to bring their carry-on luggage to the room. We haven't been to CBR since 2005 and I can't remember but I thought we took our carry-on luggage on the internal bus. . . I am just curious because we will be arriving at CBR via ME around 10:30pm. Just wondering what to expect and thought some of you that have been there more recently would know!

THANKS!

Can't wait to be back at CBR! :goodvibes

They don't allow you to transport all your luggage with the internal bus however they will take your luggage to your room. I have heard mixed reports about how long it takes. Some say it is right away some say it takes a couple hours. I guess it depends how busy they are when you check in. Seeing as you will be arriving late you may want to use a carry on size bag to keep with you with anything you may need while you wait. That is what my inlaws did when they used the ME on our last trip. I think they had to wait about an hour for their luggage, and were glad they packed a smaller bag they could take with them while they waited for the rest to be delivered.

Thanks for the info! So, you are allowed to take your carry-on luggage on the internal transport? We will each have 1 carry-on for the plane. Then we will probably check 2-3 bags total. I understand that the checked bags will be delivered later from ME. Just didn't know if we will have to wait on our carry-on's too. . .

THANKS! :goodvibes

If you are taking Disney's Magical Express and you are letting DME handle your checked bags (which is how DME was designed), then your luggage won't be with you. You WILL have your carry-ons with you, and if your carry-ons should be permitted on the CBR internal shuttle.

If you don't let DME deliver your bags (I recommend that you let DME do what they do best and just let them handle your bags for you!), then when you check-in Bell Services will grab your bags when you bring the bags to them. If it is not busy, they will drive you and your luggage to your room in a full-size van. If it's busy (which I can't imagine it will be at that time of night), they will deliver your bags ASAP and you will have to either walk or take the internal shuttle to your room.

Your carry-ons never have to leave your hand if you don't want them to.

Okay, yes it was the carry-ons that I was confused about. We always let DME take care of our checked luggage. We will need the stuff that is in our carry-ons and didn't want to be separated from them for hours!

Thanks for clearing that up! :goodvibes

Now, will they deliver our checked luggage to our room that late or hold them until morning?

Sorry, have never had late arrival before.

Since I can't search this thread, I have a coffeemaker question. I understand it's a four cup machine? I'm bringing coffee and filters.

Are the coffee cups mugs, or are they disposable? I'm trying to determine what to bring with me...

Yes, the coffee pot is a 4 cup and they give you some disposable cups for the coffee. They also provide coffee in filter packs , but I bring my own usually because I like my coffee better. I use my refillable mug to drink my coffee in then I wash it with a dawn dish cloth so I can use it later at Port Royale for other drinks. If you like sugar and cream you can get extra at Port Royale to keep in your room.

The cabin prices didn't change, just the resort "category". According to Allears, they still start at $255/night.

Ok, so I know that this is not about CBR, but why change the category to a Mod. I just don't understand, they didn't change the price, just the category.

FW really is not a deluxe accommodation no matter what it is called. I'm betting more people will take a look at FW because it is now in the moderate category instead of deluxe.

Back to CBR -- we also have a late arrival next Tuesday. Our plane gets in around 10:00, so it will likely be 11:30 before we get to CBR. We'll have ME for our checked bags. We just want to get to our room, clean up and go to bed so we can start our day early on Wednesday. Can we ask that they hold our bags until the next day and just deliver them when we're gone? Who do we make that request with? The registration desk? Luggage services? ME?

Thanks!

I called today to update my special requests. WDTC still knows nothing about the updated rooms in Martinique. The refurbishment must not be large enough to alert them of the changes.

When I checked the disneyworld.com site, the cabins were listed with the same prices as CBR.

I ALMOST thought about changing the ressies to FW, but decided to stay with CBR.

That must've been a glitch on the website. Looking at August '09 FWC says "Rooms from $265 to $410 per night" and CBR says "Rooms from $149 to
$274 per night"

Thank you, I was just about the post the same information. As soon as I saw that post I went scrambling to see about the prices, because I would love to have a cabin and be closer to MK if I could get it for the same price. I could put the kids to bed and then DH and I could stay up and watch TV, it would be almost like being at home. Oh well, I digress, so we'll keep our ressies at CBR as it is our favorite after all. But for a fleeting moment, I dreamt.............

Oh and by the way.....ahect......HAVE A WONDERFULLY MAGICAL TRIP!!!!!!

I posted this in the "restaurants" section but wonder if I'll get more response here. Thanks in advance! My questions re the food court are:

> is there a small play area for kids, like the one at POR food court? POR food court has a small table with lego's and coloring. My kids loved this!

> is there a salad station where you can pick your own ingrediants and they toss it for you? Again, like the one at POR.

Just bumping this question in case anyone has any info! Thanks!
