Caribbean Beach Resort FAQ Part 3

I posted this in the "restaurants" section but wonder if I'll get more response here. Thanks in advance! My questions re the food court are:

> is there a small play area for kids, like the one at POR food court? POR food court has a small table with lego's and coloring. My kids loved this!

> is there a salad station where you can pick your own ingrediants and they toss it for you? Again, like the one at POR.

They have just started the refurbishment at CBR. Building 24 is done, they are working on Building 25. I don't think they have started on the Pirate themed rooms yet.

Last I heard, the pool is to be done for the last week of August.

I know someone said that rooms for 5 were reported on the last podcast. I tried to listen to it and didn't hear anything about it. Everything about Christmas in July. Did l listen to the wrong edition?

When do you put in room requests?

We have standard rooms & requested connecting with my parents.

I'm thinking Aruba 51 or Jamaica 45, just across the bridge would be nice.

I have a question about the newly refurbed rooms: Buzz is reporting on a thread about CSR and CBR renovations that both resorts are getting queen size beds, can anyone verify this? I don't mind the full size beds, but a queen would be oooh sooo much better. Thanks for any information!!!

I couldn't tell looking at the Nemo rooms if they were queen size or not.

Any chance they've added trundle beds to the newly refurbed rooms?? CBR is my favorite resort, and I'm so upset we won't be able to stay there anymore now that my "baby" is 3 years old. I don't get why POR can put 5 in a room, but not CBR - CBR's rooms are bigger

Also, my boys would LOVE the pirate themed room. There's so much for girls at WDW - I like to see them showcasing more "boy" stuff.

Minnie&Nana posted a link to the Allearsnet website and the beds in the Nemo rooms are described as double beds.

Perhaps the PotC rooms will have Queen Size beds.

I think we are all hoping for trundle beds at CBR.

I feel the same exact way. CBR's rooms are bigger so why can't they get a trundle in them? POR is fine but it would be nice to have more moderate choices for families of 5.

I agree that the CBR rooms should have trundle beds in them. With the bed frames changing in the new rooms, it is now impossible to add the trundle beds.


Your only solution would be to bring an areobed or rent a cot from housekeeping.

I agree, we only have 4 but having a son and daughter that are getting almost to old to share, it would be nice to be able to have a trundle to give them their own beds.
I'm guessing Disney has heard the complaints which is why you can now get a cabin at FW at a moderate price.
As nice as FW is we still love CBR and would prefer to go there.
At least we have a coulpe more years before I have to worry... maybe Disney will figure something by then.

Oh, and I just read CBR rooms are bigger than POR?

I have the same problem, but mine are too old to share a bed. So DH and DS get one bed and DD and me get the other one. This year I'm going to see if I can get a rollaway while we are there.

I didn't know that they lowered the price of the cabins.

So we are staying there for the first time in December and I was looking at the renovated rooms on Allears, I didn't notice a coffeemaker.

I need my cup of coffee when I wake up - my question is do they have one?

if not no biggie I will bring my own

Other then that the rooms look great, my daughter LOVES Nemo. I hope they are mostly completed by December 1st and we get to stay in one.

I could see the artist's renderning of the pirate room, but the only thing on allears I could find was a picture of the bedspread pattern in the Nemo rooms. What am I doing wrong?
