Caribbean Beach Resort FAQ Part 3

Thanks Eric, we will have our luggage with us, as we're arriving by taxi from the Royal Pacific Resort. We would probably be checking in late afternoon, do you happen to know what is the busiest time for check-in? We're quite flexible on our arrival time, so would rather check-in later if it meant a shorter line and getting to our room quicker. Thanks :thumbsup2
I can't answer your question with any certainty at all. I know that check-out time is 11:00 a.m., so I imagine that Bell Services is pretty busy leading up to and just after that time. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m., but people can go to the frint desk and check-in any time they please ....

I just have no idea if late-afternoon is generally more or less busy than early-afternoon or evening.

In our experience at CBR and other resorts any time after 2 check-in gets very busy (other than Villas which have a later check-in. Have not stayed in any AS's).

To avoid long lines would try before 2 or 4 or later...of course, this could change if an ME bus with a lot of CBR guests should arrive!

I'd just go when you're ready and if the line is too long and you don't want to wait, leave luggage with bell services and maybe go over to Old Port Royale for awhile :)

Have a great trip!!

Thanks both of you for your help. :thumbsup2

We will probably stay at Universal most of the day anyway, and when we've had enough we will set off and hope it's not too busy when we arrive. We're really looking forward to our first stay at the CBR, we've stayed at POR, POFQ, Poly and the Dolphin but never CBR before so it will be a nice change for us. Can't wait to lie in one of the hammocks! :yay:

Does anyone have a picture of the room windows at CBR? I'm planning our decorations for a December trip.

When I get back into town after my sons wedding this weekend I will go take some pictures.

With the codes released today, we just switched from POFQ to CBR. Looking forward to our stay in August.

Thanks so much for posting the link to the photos. :thumbsup2 Do you think they will finish on time? It still looks very 'building siteish' :confused3

It's 11 weeks until it's said to be opening on Sept 15th, let's hope it is, as we arrive 4 days after! ::yes::

I read somewhere that they were ahead of schedule. I'm going to be there on September 19th, so I'm hoping there is no delays.

By the looks at the construction, it looks massive and no where near completion!

I'm not at home to post a pic, but last trip for my son's b'day, I had a 4' wide banner in the window, and it's a tall window - a very nice size.

If you click on SafetyMoms link, you'll see room pics with windows; the two windows are in corner rooms not all the rooms.

Safetymom: I just wanted to say thanks for the wonderful threads. We changed our resort choice yesterday and I was pretty stressed out until I found this thread. You patience and speed at answering questions as well as getting new pics up is outstanding!

I hope your DS's wedding is AMAZING and his marriage even better! :goodvibes:

declansdad, What code did you use to change to CBR? Do you know if your already book there if you can get a lower rate? I am book at CBR for the end of August and I have not paid off my balance yet and could really use a lower balance to have to pay. If info you have would be great. Thanks!

I'm not sure of the code, all I know that it was released yesterday morning. We use Dream Come True Vacations and they called yesterday afternoon to let us know. We were booked at POFQ and completely paid up. The switch to CBR or CSR for the same dates saved us $189.
