Hello,
We have booked a split stay, actually it is a 4 resort stay, for a 2.5 week trip! The two resorts we are trying for the first time are Caribbean Beach Resort and Old Key West 1 bedroom.
We have briefly visited these resorts in the past, and I have read up about them, but I am looking for those special tips and advice only someone that has stayed there could give me.
Like trying a certain food or treat at a restaurant, or make sure you check this ??? out.
What makes you choose to stay at these resorts again and again?
Thank you!

We really enjoy Caribbean Beach. I'm definitely more of a deluxe girl if I had my way but sometimes the wallet needs a break and CB is our go to for that. A few "tips" from our stays there.

- Do not get a pirate room. They are cute to look at but only have double beds and are in need of a refurb. The regular rooms are great and modern though.

- The resort is big and busses can fill up quickly. Last time we stayed in the Barbados section which was overall nice but on more than a few mornings the buss was full before it got to us. To ensure we got on a bus we'd walk to the Old Port Royal stop which wasn't an issue. I'd stay in Barbados again just be sure to go to another bus stop in the mornings. We also uber'd a lot which was fairly cheap and really convenient.

- Sebastians is great for dinner. It is so nice to be able to eat a great meal right at the resort and enjoy a relaxing evening. Don't miss the pull apart rolls or goat curry. So good!!!

- Speaking of good, Spyglass is a bit of a hidden treasure. Its in the trinidad section so its far from some other parts of the resort but its worth the walk or getting on an internal bus for some of their yummy caribbean treats. This is why we liked Barbados because it was easy walking distance to both Old Port Royal and Trinidad. The skyliner wasn't up yet on our last trip but its close to that station as well.

- For the pool we've found it can get very crowded. They have several smaller pools around the resort and while they don't have a slide they also don't have noise as we are usually the only ones there.

The fried Chicken at Olivias (OKW) is supposed to be top drawer.
You mean the Southernmost Buttermilk Chicken, Served with mashed potatoes and cream gravy.

Most of the buildings at OKW do not have an elevator. So you'll probably have to traverse the stairs which aren't too bad. The one bedrooms are great with a king bed in the master and both a queen sleeper sofa and twin sleeper chair in the living room. If your kids will need to go to the bathroom at night and you don't want them to come through the bedroom, you'll want to request a villa in the Turtle Pond or South Point areas. They have an extra door through the laundry room to the bathroom.
