My daughter's soccer team will be staying here in July for the Disney International Cup. Just wondering does CBR have a convention area? Last time we stayed at Coronado and the convention area was where we had to check in and meet the buses. I haven't stayed at CBR in 20+ years and don't remember!!

We're arriving in 16 days, so I'll certainly be keeping an eye out while there. I doubt I'll have time to go on a search mission though. Plus, since the refurb is supposedly just the interior of the rooms, it may not be that obvious where they are working.

We stayed there last week in Jamaica. We didn't see any signs of any work being done. Our room however looked very fresh. The bedding was what was described as part of the refab, just a small throw on the end of the bed and the rest of the bedding was white. Can anyone tell me the page that had the refab pictures? I can take a look and let you know if that was what our room looked like. It was still double beds though.

Anyway, the only possible sign of any work being done that I saw was in Jamaica 46 where we were staying. They were removing the heat/ac units and taking them away. No CMs I spoke to knew anything about renovations. Mind you we weren't at the resort much at all this trip.

Im just curious...what kind of things are you guys ordering from the Garden Grocer? We are driving this year and I was planning on just throwing food n stuff in the car but I wondered what goodies you guys are ordering in case Im missing something good! Ive never ordered from them before.

so sad your back ( well I mean so sad you've left CBR!!) but I hope you had a wonderful time. The CMs all seem to be in denial lately about this whole refurb thingy dont they...hmmmm

I'm patiently waiting to hear if anyone has seen any work being done since April began. Fingers crossed that this renovation gets underway soon!

Those pictures aren't really recent though, right? Aren't they are from an incredibly lucky guy who stumbled across the open door to this room in early March while staying at CBR. What luck, no? I would love to stumble across something like this!

Actually those pictures were taken last year, so they are quite old. I don't remember when exactly last year, but I know it was before my trip at the beginning of September. Who knows what the final design will actually look like now!

EDIT: So I just looked up those pictures and they were taken at the beginning of March of last year, 2013. I'm sure they have made design changes since then.

We usually order a case or two of water, various snacks, coffee creamer, fruit (bananas/apples), yogurt (our son has it right after he wakes up every morning), flushable wipes, stuff like that. Obviously, those staying at DVC resorts with full kitchens probably order a lot more. We do it mainly for the water, and everything else is add-ons.

I'm wondering what the price runs on the delivery on just a few items.... I'm trying to remember what we did last Oct, pretty sure I packed a few bottles of water in my suitcase. But it was HOT first week of Oct last year, and we ran out early on.

There is a $40 minimum, and the delivery charge is $14 (unless your order is over $200, then it is only a $2 charge). So you're always looking at $54 as the very least you can spend.

Even though the mugs come with the package, we order sodas to keep in our room, milk, sweet tea (hard to find in Disney and an essential for us Louisiana family), cereal, granola bars, instant oatmeal, bottled water and plastic bowls. As you know, we drive too but I don't want to have to pack up a whole lot of groceries.
