Thanks for the info. Maybe we will request the bottom floor. Not that we are against walking, but after a long day of walking at the parks I think those stairs will feel like that long hallway in "Poltergeist"

As long as you don't have a huge stroller to lug, not at all. We actually make 2nd floor one of our requests. Even though there are no balconies, we like having our morning coffee outside overlooking the courtyards and like the view from the 2nd floor.

Whats the bus route for CBR? I am planning on being in the pirate rooms...is this a good area? Will we get on the buses in the morning for early rope drop?

It's official! We'll be BACK at CBR in 200 days!!! Man, that sounds so far away! I know it'll be here before I know it though! This will be our 2nd stay at CBR. We just stayed in September 2012. DBF and I really loved it and just couldn't pick anywhere else! We're hooked!

It depends on which entrance the bus uses.

I am planning on being in the pirate rooms...is this a good area?

The rooms are really cool. Just be aware that the Pirate Rooms are in Trinidad South which is the farthest village from OPR and the Main Pool. However, even from the furthert point of Trinidad South it's about a 9 minute stroll at a very leisurely pace. Plus it's a beautiful walk.

Will we get on the buses in the morning for early rope drop?

CBR only has bus transportation, so unless you have a car or take a taxi you will have to get on a bus.

I hope you have an awesome trip. CBR is our favorite moderate!

No elevators. I just posted pictures of the stairs over on the CBR pic thread. Like the previous poster said, they are gradual with a landing in between.

FYI, at the very top of the resort board you will see 3 separate threads. One of them is the Resort Community Threads and Photo-Video. If someone refers to the resort photo thread, that's where it is.

Any building suggestions/requests for a standard pirate room?

We are only staying one night before we check in for our DVC stay at AKV - Jambo. Boys will want to you use the main pool. I'm guessing my best options would 34, 35, or 36...

Yup, those would be the closest to the main pool.

Per WDW last week they are not and have no plans to do so anytime soon.

Just got back from a 2 night stay at okw and a cruise on the fantasy, and am now planning the next trip in September , had a 1 bedroom at okw and it was amazing but still missed cbr! After the stay at okw cbr does not seem tha big to me, we waited for long periods of time for the resort internal bus there ,which is the downtown disney bus, at times we saw 3 and 4 buses for the same resort before ours would show up. Okw is very large and I found it so much more of a walk to the main areas.I loved the room and all the space we had and the balcony but cbr gets my vote for the next trip! Now if they could just put those 1 and 2 bedroom rooms at cbr! Even still with the much smaller room and space cbr is still my number 1 resort pick, have loved every stay we have booked there and look forward to the upcoming one!
