Thanks Mickeystoontown :) I think I'll put in a request for the corner and first floor A pool we can get to Glad I was sent over here to join this group

Just a tidbit of info: I was over on ebay looking at the new themeparkconnection listings (I've been a customer since he first started out) and he has lots of Disney Resort bedspreads/comforters up for bids including from CBR.

Is this an indication that they are swapping out the room decor as we speak?

As I said, we're easter week, so if the rumors of an April 1 start are true, I didn't expect there to be new rooms ready.

They started changing out the bedding in all of the resorts several months back. They all have the triple sheet bedding with a colorful "throw" (for lack of a better word) at the end of the bed. The strip of fabric (throw) is made from the old bedspreads/comforters.

I know this is probably a silly question but if the refurb does include a Murphy bed, what are the chances of Disney allowing 5 to be booked before the rehab is complete since it will be taking a year? I haven't been around long enough to know what happened during the POR refurb so I'm not sure of its a possibility. We are trying to swing a trip in October but we can't really afford a deluxe and POR isn't really my thing. We LOVE CBR would love to stay there instead.

There are separate ordering areas for the different types of food, but one central area where everyone checks out and pays. So your family could get food at separate stalls and all pay together. Basically along one side of the walkway is all the "stalls" for food and the other side has the registers and the seating area. I took this picture in September. The food stalls are made to look like different buildings but it's just facades, and each has a "type" of food (pizza & pasta, burgers, etc). They are on the right side of the picture, and the seating area is on the left. You go thru the registers to get to the seating area.

That you for that info. Good news.

Can anyone tell me if the caricatures are still done at CBR? It looks like it from a picture I saw from September. If so, does anyone know what kind of hours they keep? How long does it take? DD is dying to have one done and on a ski trip at Christmas the line was huge so we skipped it.

They are doing a refurb at VWL that's almost complete with a Murphy bed in the studio but you still aren't able to book the 5 yet.

Not silly at all! I'm really hoping they'll up the room occupancy to 5. I asked this same question a few pages back, and dansdad (I think) seemed to be hopeful that they would. Keeping fingers crossed pixiedust:

We stayed at POR once and it was fine, but our family definitely prefers CBR :thumbsup2

Or you can just get grandparents to go with you and put a child in with them like we just did.;) Just booked CBR for the first time and are very excited to not have to stay at POR AGAIN. Have always wanted to stay there but with 5 people, just wasn't an option. Would be SO nice to have other options for 5.

Can someone tell whether the children's meal that comes in pail have any logo or writing on the pail?

No they dont have any logos on them they are lime green with a yellow shovel, they have been the same color for the past 3 years but my kids still love them :)

10 days til our first stay at CBR! I am so excited. I'll admit that CBR wasn't my first choice becuase I wanted to wait for the refurb. But CSR wasn't available for AP discount and our 2 rooms at CBR were cheaper than AoA or a deluxe. Anyway, I have been lurking on this thread and reading up on the resort and I think this is going to be a great choice for us. We LOVE the beach so the theming looks fantastic to me. I can't wait to see the pool! Just wanted to say thank you to everyone on this thread for getting me so excited for our trip!!! :thumbsup2

Oh - I put in our room requests today - Aruba 51 or Jamaica 45 - right over the bridge!
