I told you buddy....I'm terrible about deciding on a resort!

I'm between a pirate room at CBR & Courtyard view at Wilderness Lodge.

I was going to tell you this on Sunday....I'm cutting back on our trip because we're building a house!!! :woohoo: Just went & met with the builder today (the house is framed & they are putting on the roof) & we're signing the papers tonight. Momma needs some funds to buy some stuff she wants for the new house! :lmao:

Ooooh! Exciting! I can't wait to hear all about it.:cool1:

We're very excited! Signed the papers tonight. Can't wait to tell y'all all about it on Sunday! :woohoo:

Now, I just need to decide on a resort. :sad2: I only have until December. :lmao:

BTW....I like your ticker! Y'alls trip isn't too far away!

34 days and counting! And did you know that Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs debuted on this day back in 1938? ;)

Brooke and her crew arrived at MK this morning for RD. Wishing I was there already!

:cool1: It's getting close! You must have 1 great countdown calendar teaching you all of these fun Disney facts!

I bet they are sooo excited! I don't blame you - I wish I was there right now, too.

We leave in 10 days! Our first stay at this resort :) SOOOO Excited- I hope it stays warm!! One quick question- What is online check in? Also what does it do and how does one do it lol :):woohoo:

Ouuu exciting! We've been there three times and love it!

Online checkin allows you go confirm you're going to make it and skip some of the paperwork that they normally do if you check-in at the desk. Then, when you arrive at CBR, you go into the special line, give them your name and CC and they'll have your room and info all ready - lickity split!

To do it, you go to http://disneyworld.com > Hover over "My Disney Vacation" in the menu and then click "Online Check-in" :)

Hey all CBR fans and newbs! I recently updated Google Maps to have all the building information for CBR! Now if you search on it, you can find the building names and numbers. Also, if you're looking at the resort in Map mode (not satelite/birds-eye-view mode), you'll see the building outlines, as well!

Hope this helps for those trying to put some context to the map from Disney! :)

Hi everyone!! We leave in 7 days--this time next week we will be on the ME heading to CBR! YAY!!:banana:

We have a preferred room already but I was wondering if there is a better location to ask for? I am going to do online check-in since we don't really have special needs/requests. But I will put a room request in there.

Thanks!!

Officially booked our summer vaca to CBR June 2-9th. WOOHOO!!! 140 days and counting!! We booked the pirate themed room, the kids love the pics of the rooms!

I just really hope a better deal besides the current one comes out! Hoping for free dining!

Hello Everyone - to all arriving or already at CBR, you Disney Maniac's have a safe trip and all of you deserve a Great Time !! Hope the weather is super and the lines are short.

Eat a turkey leg for us !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:
Do u know that in all the years I have gone to WDW I have NEVER had a turkey leg! Now, a DOLE WHIP....yumm-o:cloud9: Just one week!!!:banana::banana:

Me neither! I threaten to try it, but then the look of them (and others eating them) skeeze's me out :) I'm sure they are delicious - should I be putting this on my "to-do" list next time? :)

For that matter - never had a Dole Whip either...where do you get those?

We are arriving at CBR in 14 days! We have a standard room reserved, but are considering upgrading to preferred. Other than a room closer to OPR, what are the advantages of preferred?

That's it in a nutshell. Preferred rooms are located in the two villages on either side of Old Port Royale. Standard rooms are located in all other villages with the exception of Trinidad South which is where the pirate rooms are located.

So are we! We can't wait. :) We've had this booked since late July, but these last few days of waiting are so hard.

We were upgraded to Preferred three years ago. A good move on Disney's part as we have chosen Preferred ever since. It's worth it to us since we like to hang out at OPR after a day in the parks. I like using the spas and the DD loves the main pool. It's nice to have a short walk over to refill our mugs, etc.

If you don't like going over to OPR a lot, it may not be worth the extra cost to you. I can only tell you it's worth it for us.

Thanks for the info everyone! I just spent the past week reading through this thread in preparation for our upcoming trip! We were originally booked at POFQ, but we switched to CBR to save 30% with the AP rate. I haven't stayed at this resort in 20 years! Then, I LOVED the pool and playgrounds. Now, I'm looking forward to having tropical drinks on a beach!

Speaking of drinks, to those of you who've used Garden Grocer- I know they deliver alcohol but you have to ask for it in the comments section. Do they carry Sangria or any other wine-like beverages (Arbor Mist, etc)? Considering the prices at the pool bar, I think we could save some money this way. We finish off each night with a drink and a walk around our resort, so the price really adds up after a few days!

We're booked in a King room, and I think I'm going to see what we end up with rather than make any requests. I'm looking forward to walking around the resort and we don't have any children so location isn't really an issue.

I can't thank you all enough for the info and pics- You've been so much help! :goodvibes

So my family has agreed to a summer vacation at Disneyworld! We want to stay at a moderate. We love POR but would like to stay somewhere different. We're interested in CBR but I have a few questions that I'm hoping you experts can help me out with!

We'll have one family with a group of 5 but the little one will only be 1. Can they stay in one room?

After keeping up on this thread, I really think it is best we get preferred locations (all of us). Have you ever had a group of 4 rooms and requested 'near' each other with preferred and actually been near each other? We might request a couple connecting rooms but I know it is all a request.

Is there a pool bar? If so, what are the hours and what kind of special drinks do they have at CBR?

And do you recommend Shutters? We'd like to do one or two family sit down meals and it might be best to stick to a restaurant at our resort :)

Thanks for all the help!
