I noticed there are a number of us that will be there next week-- just wanted to send some magical vacation vibes everyone's way
Hope everyone has a great trip!!

i'm starting to get concerned. DM and I will be there 12/12-12/18 in the pirate room handicapped accessible and we have heard several complaints of not actually sleeping on mattresses, but on 5'' thick mats
...any info on this?![]()
I'm at CBR now and thought I'd post a few impressions of our CBR experience so far.
DME was slower than last time. Arrival at MCO was at about 4:00 PM Nov. 11, Thursday. We waited about 10 mins before boarding the bus and there were a ton of people to be let off at Pop first so we were pushing the 90 minute (from plane to room) mark by the time we checked in. On the plus side our bag was in our room an hour after check-in.
Check-in was super fast as I did online check-in this time. I couldn't see any online check-in sign at the Custom House so I just went up to the counter and they had our package ready. We decided to add the charging function to our KTTW cards and this was quickly done.
We were given a king bedroom (an extra cost room category) in building 53. The room was clean, ready and still had a Hallowe'en towel creation beside the TV set! It was gone the second day.
I checked for BBs (both kinds, bed bugs and bounce backs) and found no evidence of either! The only offers in the room were the public ones you can get online. Dates only to Sept 29, 2011.
Next time we'll request our favourite building 56 as we were surprised at how unfamiliar CBR feels staying in an unfamiliar section even if it is only 3 buildings over from our usual location.
The worst crowds have been at Epcot (Food and Wine) and at DTD today (Festival of the Masters). The lightest crowds were last night at MMVCP after the fireworks as most people with small kids went home, leaving most everything open a walk on proposition. Finally tried Space Ranger Spin- just loved it!
That's all for now. maybe more later...
I just read something on this yesterday:
" Also available at a premium rate in the Trinidad South building are Pirate themed rooms. While these rooms will definitely appeal to young boys, you should be aware that the beds here are unusual in order to accommodate the bed frames. Beds in Pirate rooms consist of a box spring and 4" pillow top - but no mattress."
Came from the DIS resort page: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/resorts/cbr.htm
Thanks for the review. We are leaving in 12 days and was starting to get a little nervous about the resort. You made me feel so much better![]()
You are going to have a wonderful time!
We are here now, have been since Nov 12 and will leave on Nov 21
Any questions just let me know!

The buses for all the parks in the early am are fantastic except for Epcot...what a huge pain in the tush that is. They just never show up so we take the HS bus and the boat from there to Epcot or we drove.
We have been at the bus stop from 8am and then in the afternoon and then at night and getting to MK, HS and DTD are not a problem at all.
The room is a king bed corner end unit on the 2nd floor in Trinidad North. The room was immaculate and in excellent condition. Our Mousekeeper is Mati and she is fantastic! She asked us when we would like our room done and we told her we are out at 8am every day so she said she would do us first and all week she has...tons of extra towels, soaps, whatever we need she gives it to us
The village pool is great, no one ever uses it and I think the reason why is it isnt heated and the water is FREEZING! We ventured to the main pool and hot tub but the pool is too crowded and the hot tub is loaded with little kids...not our idea of a relaxing soak
The food court is eh, nothing special. For drinks and snacks it is ok. The breakfast options are pretty ick, no sausage links but patties, the potatoes are fake tasting, the eggs are ok, oatmeal is very pasty, the omelete was nothing great. DH did have chicken soup one night and enjoyed it.
The resort doesnt seem too crowded, I cannot hear anything from people in the room next to us.
The trees are dropping acorns like crazy and I had to park in the neighboring non tree lot to avoid getting little pings in my car.
Staff is very helpful and courtious. We love it here, been 6 years since our last CBR stay and we are thrilled with the entire experience....more relaxed here than we were at the Poly last Nov!

Glad you are enjoying CBR Nicki!I think we may be headed back there next year. It's been a few years since we've been there.
We were at the BWI last week and those acorns were dropping on us like crazy by the pool. They sure are hard!
Have a great rest of your trip!
Can you tell me if there are frozen drinks available for the refillable mugs? My DD loves them and I haven't seen it mentioned at this resort.
Thanks
Nikki, we also were in Trinadad North corner unit second floor rm 3137, how funny just came back on the 17th, hope you are having a great time.
How is the weather during the day and at night? I guess the main pool is heated? Are the parks crowded now?
Any signs of Bed Bugs?
How was your trip? Did you love BWI?
Hi everybody. First post. I just booked a package for next 2/6-2/12. I turn 40 on 2/7 and this is my birthday present. I've stayed on property twice. Honeymoon at POFQ in 2005 and Pop last month for a 3 day weekend which was first trip for DD4 who is in love with the Disney Princesses. We splurged for BBB and she dressed up as Sleeping Beauty.
We loved POFQ because it was quaint and quiet. We loved Pop because it was affordable and DD4 loved the theme. But I chose CBR because I love what I've seen of the room decor, when looking at pictures online. Plus the other little extras we didn't get at Pop like the fridge, extra cabinet space, double sinks, etc.
But here's my question. I have some mobility issues (knee problems) but I was too late to book a preferred room. I've read the recommendations for next best choices (bldg's 51, 45 and 22). But even in those locations, the walk may prove too much for me. We will have refillable mugs and won't be on the DDP so we'll be eating several dinners at the food court. So, I'm going to need to rely on the internal bus system. I have read through this whole 56 page thread and didn't find much info on the internal buses. Has anyone who is reading this had any experience with them? Do they come regularly enough that my husband and daughter can wait with me? Or would it be better for them to go ahead and let me meet them there? Also, how are they labeled? Instead of having the park name, does it have CBR? Or does it say Internal?
Thank you so much for your help!
Stephanie
