We stayed at Jamaica, it seemed like we were always the first stop back from the parks, because the bus comes in from Victory Way and stops there first.

Thanks! That's what we have requested! I really hope we get it. It looks really pretty and if it has good bus luck then that seals the deal!
But with my rotten luck, we'll get Aruba. I'm sorry, but those Pepto Bismol colored buildings nauseate me.

If I was to stay at Carribean Beach Resort again I would stay at Barbados 11 that faces the lake. It has a nice breeze off of the lake. We walked around the lake and would always stop here and enjoy the nice cool breeze under the trees next to the lake.

Just booked our first CBr trip for Sept free dining. Very excited. 2 questions.
1) where can you sit at CBR and watch illuminations?

2) where would I be able to get a taxi at CBR? we will need a taxi to get to the Yacht club one night.

Just back from CBR pirate room, it was so nice the room was great. The walk to pool was not too bad(6 to 7 min), I would have like to had a room a bit closer but we really wanted the pirate room.
Had Disney florist do the big birthday wish in our room it was soo wonderful!
The buses seemed to be a bit slow this trip, not just at the CBR but everywhere.

Anyplace that has an unobstructed view generally to the west will give you a decent view of some of the higher fireworks of IllumiNations. This can mean the beaches of Martinique, Old Port Royale, Trinidad North and Trinidad South. I got a nice surprise one night, sitting with my kids on the steps of the Trinidad North quiet pool ... it just happens to face the proper direction and there were no trees in the way.

Keep in mind that you can't take in ALL of IllumiNations from CBR. You won't be able to see the laser show and you won't be able to see ALL of the fireworks.

To get a taxi, you'll have to go to the Custom House, which is the building that has the lobby, front desk, bell services, and so on. There is an internal shuttle bus that stops there and at each village and OPR, but it's a comfortable walking distance from just about anywhere.

You can also get a taxi from Old Port Royale. There is a concierge desk right in the middle. You can also be dropped off right at the building you are staying in.

Just wanted to know if CBR has any form of entertainment at the resort? Live bands at night or on weekends? Just curious

Just wanted to say hi from CBR !! We arrived Wednesday - are staying in building 34 - Trinidad South (Pirate room). The walk to OPR, with a 6 year old, is about 10 minutes. We haven't been in the main pool yet - dh and ds are in the quiet pool as I type. We spent the day at Epcot. Have eaten at OPR 3 times now - very handy. Ds loves the alligator and turtles hanging around off the deck by the main pool ! Buses have been hit and miss going in eacfh direction - but one always shows up eventually We have a corner room - with a lovely view of the parking lot LOL - but can't complain, we don't look out of the window much Mousekeeping has been great - good job done, plus we got 2 towel animals 1st day, and one each day since !! Very happy we chose a pirate room - ds was extremely impressed when we arrived ! Oh - and the weather has been gorgeous ! Hot - yes - but not too bad - we were here last year for the rainy week, so this makes a very nice change !! All in all, we're loving it here - and we're here until NEXT Saturday !!

Looks as if we will be staying at CBR for a 2nd year in a row...DD4 request.
She keeps talking about staying at the same hotel that we were at last year...guess it made a good impression with her. Hopefully, this year it won't be too cold and she won't have a nasty asthma attack so that we can enjoy the pool and the pirate ship. We will be arriving on 11/28 and leaving on 12/3.

I mailed off a package from the Disney store to CBR and when I looked at the tracking information they left off our reservation number (after the address it only has att: Mr. XXXXXXX and we have a very common last name.)
The package is to arrive four days before we do and I would like to email them so that they know the package is for us and not someone else with the same last name. A few years ago I checked in and there where four other people with my exact first and last name checking in at the CBR that day

I was thinking about calling and finding out how much it would be to stay at a deluxe resort instead. Surprise the kids but this thread has really made me fall in love with CBR can't wait to be there in August

We are in the same boat - in our County there are 10or more people with the same first and last name as my DH. Even in one family, their DS has the same name as our DS - just a 16 year difference in ages. Someone asked our DS out for a date when he was 2 years old That's how we found out about the other son with my DH's first & last name.


What we do - Hold for Mr.XXX of Town, State, zipcode
arrival date of MM/DD/YY for a stay of 10 nights.

The package will be very specific to you - unless the person with the same name, same town, same state, same arrival date, and same # of nights is also staying at your resort.

Does anyone know which bus stops pick up first to go to the Parks and goes in which direction or towrds which bus stop next ?

Or what page of this thread has bus info ?

Disney now has the ability to build out the rest of the Car Resort to the SW. The have soils technologies that can support a better foundation...Look for it to be a suites section...happens to be near the Amimation resort (Old Pop Century west side)...they can share suites services...
