I just realized that Disney is offering the $99 military tickets again this year .. eekkk!!

I told DH and we decided to look into a trip May/June, just like we did last year. This would be our first stay at CBR (last year was CSR) I am so excited to try something new.

I would love advice on which village to request at check in ... I have a 5yr old daughter and 3yr old son. Being semi close to the food court and semi close to a pool would be awesome!! Thanks so much

Disney is also offering a 40% discount on all Disney Resorts for military members. They are also allowing you to book a room/dining plan and then purchase your tickets separately. We purchased 6 nights at CBR with the Dining Plan in a Preferred Location (Martinique 24,25,26 or Trinidad North) for $1217 - and will be buying park tickets via the ITT office on base. I'll be requesting Martinique 26 for its location to the food court/main pool area.

just booked w/ 30%off code for june:goodvibes We will be in the pirate standard rooms. Does if there are pics of these rooms on this thread? thanks

Tell me it's not so! I heard there are cheer competitions scheduled for the end of April and they'll be staying at the AllStars and at CBR! What effect will this have on bus schedules and other resort services? Has anyone ever stayed at a resort while this kind of stuff is going on?

We stayed at AllStar Sports and at All Star Music when the cheerleaders were there. We didn't have any problems, but we also didn't spend a lot of time at the resort. Most of our time was at the parks. I didn't really notice any problems with buses either. The only thing was that the food courts were very busy in the mornings for breakfast.

hi there! I'm a newbie on this forum. I'm heading to CBR from 2nd-12th July with my best friend. It will be our first Disney trip!

I have read some conflicting information about the standard guest rooms and was hoping someone could clarify for me. Are hairdryers and fridges in every room? I had read somewhere that fridges were $10 per day, and some places I have read say that fridges are in all rooms with no charge?

thanks in advance! :)

Thanks:thumbsup2 Love the pirate themed rooms !!

You're quite welcome! Aren't the room neat!

Congrats on picking the CBR. All of the CBR rooms come with a hairdryer and fridge. There's no additional charge for the fridge. The $10.00 charge for a fridge is only for rooms at value resorts.

Thank you! We're very excited!! And that's great news - means I have more room in my suitcase for shopping! lol

My two boys took the cruise last Sept. It was the best money I spent the whole trip. Don't get me wrong I love spending time with the kids, but by the end of the week, I need some adult time. Those two hours were fantastic. My husband and I ate a meal together and didn't have to ask anyone to stay seated on their bottom. Oh, and the boys really had a great time. They got tattoos and bandanas and they were paired up with a buddy their own age. I totally recommend it.

All you had to say was tattoos...that is Loreleis favorite thing in the world. I showed her the pictures and she said she wants to do it...just hope she aint screaming when they pull off. Ahh adult time, now that would be FANTASTIC. Thank you so much for the information

Getting very excited. All of our travel arrangements arrived from Disney travel company today! A month to go!

Can you have purchases made at the park delivered to the CBR? The Disney website doesn't list it as an option for CBR, but I've heard that you can. Can someone enlighten me to the process?

Yes you can have your packages delivered to CBR. They have you fill out a form when you make your purchase. When the item is delivered to the gift shop at CBR you can pick it up.

My wife and I are planning our annual trip to WDW in November and CSR is listed as unavailable for the length of our stay. We're seriously considering CBR and I have a few quick questions -

1) For those who are familiar with Pepper Market at CSR, is the Food Court at CBR the same kind of deal?

2) How does a double size bed compare to a queen? I ask because that's what we have at home and when we stay in hotels we try to stick with the same.

3) Pirate rooms - are they worth an add'l $30/night? I ask, knowing that we'll be there for ten days.

4) For those who have stayed at both, what are your pros and cons for each?

Thank you for your help!

1) The food court is more like a mall food court

2) double beds are a couple of inches more narrow than a queen. The length is the same.

3) can't speak for the pirate rooms being worth it but I would rather spend the $300 on a couple of good dinners (we just booked the hoop de doo revue dinner show for our family of four for $169)

4) This spring will be the first time we have stayed at the CBR in about 9 years but from what I remember I really enjoyed the theme, the resort took on a really nice tropical feel especially strolling along at night. It is centrally located. The food in the food court was decent and now that I have stayed at 3 of the 4 mods(haven't stayed at POFQ yet) it was my favorite. The pool area was fairly recently renovated and from what I can gather from others on the boards people seem to really enjoy it.

As far as the CSR, I thought it had a stuffy feel especially since when we went there was a large conference as it is a conference resort and we saw suits walking around everywhere...kind of took away from the feel of the resort. The pepper market was by far the best thing about that resort (IMO), it was great but expensive as since it was a conf. resort they felt the need to price gouge a bit. I also found the bus service there to be very slow (could have been unlucky). With the exception of the pool which was very nice, the theme at CSR was just kind of blah for me.

Honestly I have stayed at the CBR, CSR, BC, WL, and POR, and the CSR was the only resort I didn't care for...of course these are just my opinions but I hope this helps!

Hi
well thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. carribian Disney resort is awesome for your holidays. and it's very romantic place for couples.

thanks

Are all room rehabs at this resort complete? If I choose to stay in a preferred room at CBR, will I be able to get a nemo-themed room without having to make special requests?

That covers everything! Thank you!

When we were at CSR there weren't any conferences going that week so it was nice and quiet - no suits. :)
