OOOh Thanks! I knew someone would have the answers!
Am I right to understand that all of Trinidad south are pirate rooms?

If I book a preferred room am I guaranteed to get one of the newly renovated Nemo rooms?

Much thanks! :daisy:

Totally off topic, but I live not to far from you! I live North of Swanton. My mom is the HR person for Frozen Foods Specialty in Archbold, and when I used to work I drove a delivery route delivering car parts to all the dealerships in there twice a day!
that is so cool! I live in wauseon, my real address, but grew up in archbold and went to school there. i absolutely love the pictures of the little princess on your replies. Where did you get that done? Thanks for introducing yourself!! Kelly

We had her pictures done at Exposition Hall after doing the BBB.
I just met another girl on here who lives in Wauseon too! LOL!

Can you book a standard and ask for a poolside without booking water view?

You can request a room close to the quiet pool. I usually request a room facing a courtyard simply because they seem quieter. Of course, like with all Disney resorts, there's no guarantee your request will be granted.

I read on a trip report that the kiddie pool is for kids 48" and under. What is the kiddie pool? Is it the pirate ship with the slides and dump bucket? If so, my DDs 8 and 11 will be disappointed. They are 50" and 60" but honestly as far as water slides go that pirate ship looks more their speed! They don't like to be dumped in deep water.

They don't know where we're staying but every time they see a picture of that area they say it looks like fun. :goodvibes

I never saw any signs about a height restriction. . . . I suppose it could be there somewhere, but I never saw one. But my 10 year old (9 then) played in it in January and we had no problems. And there were definitely kids in there taller than him. Heck, I was in there! :rotfl: I think the only way they might enforce such a thing would be if there were bigger kids in there being too rowdy posing a safety issue for the little kids.

There are height restrictions on a sign posted. My son was 9 and he played in there in June with no issues. In August though a life guard came in on a few occassions and removed the much older children from the area. My son is a tiny 9 year old so he fit in pretty well. As long as they don't get too rough with their play they should be ok.

I thought that might be the case. We will give it a try. My girls are not ones to be pulled for rowdiness, they are more likely to be victims of it :upsidedow I'm sure we'll get some playtime in. :goodvibes

Wait! I am confused. Never having stayed at CBR we are planning to stay there in August. Do you mean to say that my 15 year old son cannot swim/play in the main theme pool with my 7 year old daughter? Why on earth would I get excited about resort theme pools if my 15 y/o cannot swim in them?!?! :confused3

Only the children's play area pool is gated with height restrictions. The main pool is open to everyone. They don't enforce it much. If your older son wanted to watch the younger child he could sit in the water there but I wouldn't suggest going down the slides in that area.

The height restrictions are for the kiddie pool NOT the main theme pool.

Well, the way it sounds to me, the pirate ship area is the "kiddie" pool, it's not the main pool. It also sounds like if he is playing with her there and not mowing little kids down, he will be able to stay, hopefully. I can see it both ways. It is nice for the little ones to have a place of their own and not worry about the big kids running over them. On the other hand, this area looks fun for all ages.

Is there a fridge in the room, or do I need to request it? I KNOW this has been asked before, but I don't have the time to scroll 100s of pages to find it? Can anyone help me?? We are in a pirate room! Thanks a bunch, in advance!! :)
