I am so excited! I came home from work today and my documents and ME tags had arrived. I have never stayed at CBR so we are very excited to try it.

staying at cbr 9/4-9/7. we've never been and I am SO EXCITED. I need help with my room preference request. we only have a standard room. but i'd like to request the closest possible standard room to Old Port Royale. lol. the only other important request would be to be as close to a bus stop as possible. any suggestions? would that be martinique 22? or would the trip over the bridges from jamaica or aruba be closer than martinique 22? Thanks in advance for any assistance whatsoever. I have no clue what to even imagine with this resort., but I CAN NOT WAIT. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

We've stayed in Martinique 23 and the walk to both the bus stop and Old Port Royale was really short. We've also stayed in Jamaica 41 and the walk to Old Port Royale was about 5 minutes....to the best stop....about 3 minutes.

Which building set has the best beach?

Each village has a gorgeous white sandy beach and I can't really say that any are better than the other. I know that the Jamaica beach has a small playground for kids and I believe some of the others do too.

We were in Barbados 14 and the walk to OPR was only about 5 minutes -- not bad at all...and the walk to the Barbados bus stop was not even 3 minutes.

The Barbados beach also has a small playground and a volleyball net. We never did get to spend any time on the beach...maybe on our next trip!

We will be staying at CBR and using DME. We fly SW so we have to take our luggage back to the airport with us. We have never stayed at a resort as big as CBR so it was no problem in the past to drag our luggage up to the main building. I was wondering if that is the way they do it at CBR. That could be a real long hike with luggage and little ones if we are at the other end of the resort. Do they pick you up at just one area there or is there more than one pick up spot for DME? Or do you catch the internal bus around? We should be leaving about 7am because our flight leaves at 10am so that is pretty early for the internal bus to be running. Can anyone help me with this please? :confused3
Thanks ahead of time.

You can contact Bell Services to pick you up at your room and they will take you to the main building to meet DME. You will want to tip them for helping you and bringing you to the Custom's House. This is a nice thing to have at CBR.

This thread is great! Just booked 12/5-12/9 for ASMo but got very nervous with all the negative reviews. Tried POP...no FL Resident discounts left. So I made an amazing decision.....we are staying at CBR!!!:yay: We have never stayed here before and the last time I was in a moderate was for our honeymoon 15 years ago!! I have a feeling that we will never be going back to a value resort again.

We were thinking of requesting Aruba as it seems like a quick walk across the island to get to the main pool...or maybe Barbados. Not sure if they are both pretty much the same distance or not. Also, are they both Nemo themed? Not worried about the buses. We will just take the car to the parks...easier with a 3 year old especially after MVMCP. How is the food at Shutters? We'll probably eat there the first night.

Thanks in advance for the input.

The couple of Aruba buildings nearest the bridge across the lake ... those buildings are closer to Old Port Royale (via the bridge) than Barbados.

However, if you are in one of the Aruba buildings closer to Barbados and the Custom House, then Barbados is a closer walk to OPR.

ALL rooms in the resort (except for the Pirate rooms, a separate booking category) were recently refurbished and have a slight Nemo motif. Very slight; it's not an entire theme. There are a few Nemo characters sprinkled about the bedspread design, as well as on the wallpaper border around the top of the room.

I am so excited I could just bust!! We will be staying at the CBR for the first time in December. I had originally booked CSR, but was still really unsure if it was right for us. We have stayed at POFQ and ASSP and wanted something different. Thanks to this thread I called this morning to change to CBR and sure this is the resort for us. Thanks to all of you for the helpful info. Come on December.:cool1::yay::woohoo:

How far is it from the Custom's House to OPR? Would we be able to drop off our luggage and then head over for breakfast?

Sure Bell Svc. will hold your luggage for you, or if you are checking it, you can do express airline checkin if you airline is a participating airline and then go have breakfast. You can take internal shuttle back to OPR for breakfast if you'd like.

We would be checking luggage with the airline. Last year we had to have the luggage to the checkin counter way ahead of our ME departure time, but at POP it was in the same house as the food court, so it was easy and I just needed reassurance that it could easily be done at CBR as well. Thanks for your help:goodvibes

You are very welcome!

I am 35 years old and have always dreamed of going to Disney World ever since I was a little girl but have never been able to go and FINALLY my dream is coming true!!! Flying in from Charlotte, NC on the 28th and staying until Dec. 3rd.!!! CBR looks like such a beautiful resort and I love the beach theme! I am counting down the days and having fun planning! Anyone else going to be at CBR during these days? :yay::yay::yay:

If you booked a water view room is there a certain building that you will be in or could it be any of them?
