Can I ask an Internet question? I saw the pics on page 1.

My son wants to bring his laptop. Does he need anything else? I read somewhere else that he needs a wifi card? If there's access in the room, why would he need this? I'm strictly a desk-top kinda gal so, these laptop gadgets have me confused. I wouldn't want him to drag his laptop down and find we needed something else. I believe there's a fee for internet, too?

Late check-IN. Our flight is arriving into MCO after 10pm. We have ME but I'm wondering when our luggage will arrive in our rooms? Is it possible we won't see our luggage until the next morning? This would greatly affect my carry-on bag situation.

Can you buy a half gallon or gallon of milk anywhere at CBR? If so, do they have whole milk? I was there last week and I saw 1/2 pint and pint size servings of skim and whole milk in the food court at Port Royale. Didn't take notice of milk being sold anywhere else in Port Royale.


After check in how do you get to your room? Do you just walk from Custom House?We did not need to use this service, but I did take notice of "stretch" golf carts with rows of bench seating -- my guess is that they were transporting incoming guests to their rooms with these vehicles. There is also a "inter-resort" bus that does a loop through the resort to all of the different "islands" bus stops.

Which "Island" or section are you staying at?

When we checked in they asked if we had any luggage. We did - our carry-ons. Therefore we were not allowed on the internal bus. No luggage on the buses. So we were given a little slip of paper and told to go outside to Bell Services. We gave them the paper and they said they would have us a van in a few minutes. In about 5 minutes a van pulled up, loaded our luggage and us into it and took us right to the sidewalk in front of our room. (not the bus stop in our village) Very convenient! Same thing the day we checked out. We called Bell Services the night before and set up a time. They came right to our door and helped us with our luggage and took us to the Custom House.

Hi everyone,
I an in the final planning stage of a CBR vacation in november. At first it was supposed to be DS5 and I (mom) but our trip is growing! My half sister (10) and her mom will be joining us. I booked a pirate room for my son and I. Now that the group is getting larger, I'm concerned about the bed times (the 10 year old will not sleep at 8pm!). Suggestions??? I was thinking about requesting a first floor room facing one of the courtyards or should I just switch resort? DS and I had our hearts set on CBR (we had such a good time there last year).

Be aware that most of the courtyards at CBR are smoking locations.

Since you guys are so great with such quick responses I'll ask some more..

How much time should we allow to get to ADR at CM and Boma in the morning? And what is the easiest way to get there?
I figure take the bus to MK and hop on the mon.for a ride to CM..
And take the bus to AK and then another bus to AKL? Do buses run back to the lodges often around opening time?
We have Whispering Canyon as well.. and figure we have to go to MK to get there?
Or would it be better to go to another park and catch the bus?

I saw that on the map. Should I expect a smoke fest in the Trinidad south courtyard at night??? Now I'm really worried.
I guess I just have to hope my half sister and her mom stay out in the parks until my DS5 is fast asleep!

Just decided on CBR for our trip in April. I've read through the first 20something pages here, I plan on reading each post.

I do have a question I was hoping to find the answer to as I'll be making reservations soon and hope to request a room then. Where on the grounds can you see Illuminations? Can you see it from any of the buildings? Can you see any other part of Epcot? Any part of DHS?

OK, that ended up being a few questions.

I'd like to make a building request based on these answers. Of course, I know it's just a request...especially since we'll have connecting rooms because our kids will be in one.

We have watched the higher fireworks from Illuminations at the Jamaica and Martinique beaches and from the outside seating area of Old Port Royale.

You can only see the fireworks at CBR. Cannot see the globe in the water or the fire. We saw them at the pool a few nights we were there and one night we heard them in our room and it was pouring down rain too!

The pool gate on the Trinidad North side of the main pool was always locked when we were there in June.

I'm just getting around to reading 100+ pages of this thread...never been to the CBR...can you tell my why a gate to the pool would be locked?

Because that is not the main entrance. Not sure it was ever intended for guests to use that gate.

I'm excited about hopefully staying at CBR in January and have been enjoying reading this thread!

I just have a couple of questions about the refillable mug I've seen so much about--it looks like you get a mug you can refill at the resort food court as much as you want? Am I understanding that correctly? I'm not much of a soda drinker, but I love carbonated water. Sometimes at soda fountains they have a little button you can push down to get either plain water or soda water. Did anyone notice if they have these there?

How about soda options without sugar *or* caffeine? I can do caffeine-free diet coke or diet sprite, etc. but can't have caffeine or sugar.

I did see a water button but no soda button. We drank a lot of pink lemonaid and they also have the lite lemonaid. I know they had Sprite but no diet sprite. Diet coke but I'm pretty sure it also had the caffeine in it. You can also get coffee, hot tea and hot chocolate.

I was planning on ordering some stuff from COSTCO, and having it shipped to CBR. In some other threads they say it won't ship to resort because the address doesn't match their records. Now I see two different addresses for CBR which one should I use for COSTCO?

I was wondering if anyone has tried to check-in with their airline (specifically Southwest) before flying home? This is our first time staying at CBR. We're flying Southwest and would like to check-in 24hrs before our flight. We won't have our laptop with us, so I was wondering which desk we should go to, to ask them to check us in for us? Concierge? Guest Relations? With all the early bird publicity with Southwest recently, I want to make sure I go to the right place at exactly 24hrs. Thanks so much!

If I am remembering correctly, there is a separate desk for airline check-in at the Custom House. It's just off the main lobby. I am sure that somebody will confirm this for you.
