Is there a tip on bussing from Caribbean beach? We caught the bus from a Jamaica bus stop a few days ago and we were on it for almost an hour after riding through the resort and getting to the park. Any tips on a faster option?
Thanks!

The entire trip around the resort is only 10 minutes so if it took you a hour, even had you gotten on the last stop it would have still been 50 min. I'm guessing you were either going to the furthest park from the resort or Disney Springs? There is no predicting traffic or road work. We were there in March during a split stay and did MK and Epcot during the stay there and I can't say it took longer than 1/2 hour to get anywhere and we were at the Jamaica stop as well.

Did the bus take the wrong route or something, or real heavy traffic? Because CBR is only 6 miles from the 2 farthest parks MK and I think AK, so normally that is about a 15-20 min ride. I also had heard that CBR now has 2 park buses during busy hours so that you do not go to all stops. Is this happening? Also, did you have any assist vehicles to be loaded unto the bus? I know they can take time to do.

It can take longer to ride around the resort. We got on in Jamaica and it took 23 minutes to circle around and leave. The bus was almost packed with just our stop, but we still went to each village. It was so frustrating that we drove to the parks from then on.

That seems pretty unusual. We stayed there last year in Jamaica and almost never went around the entire resort. Normally we departed after 2 more stops. And when we returned and went around the entire resort it never took more than 10 minutes. I'm guessing that was just a fluke.

It used to be that the bus went around the whole resort. My stay at CBR was 3 years ago, and the bus circled the whole resort. It was a pain. Recently reports have been that there are now 2 buses, but maybe it is one of those things that just depend. Sometimes 1 bus sometimes 2.

It must be catch as catch can about going around the whole resort, we were there in March and both our going and coming buses went around the whole resort but as I said, it never took longer than 10 min. to do so. There must have been an ECV or wheelchair or a whole bunch of strollers getting on for it to take 23 min to circle it for original poster.

We haven't been to CBR in almost 6 years, but the bus trips are one of the reasons we didn't choose it for our stay this fall. We were in Jamaica- usually the 1st or 2nd stop, and the trip around the resort felt like it took forever- we were doing this 2x/day most days since we would go back for a rest in the afternoons. Maybe other resorts are just as bad, but for us, it couldn't be much worse than we experienced there. Loved the rest of the resort, though!

There really isn't a faster option if the buses are going through the entire resort, but I don't think it should ever take as long as an hour. Something must have happened to cause that. But the bus transportation is 100% the reason we will never stay at CBR again.

We just got back from there and stayed in Jamaica. The bus circling the resort takes longer than 10 min-more like 15-20 from our experience and yes it was 40-45min to Magic Kingdom from getting on the bus, circling the resort and arriving at MK. We couldn't figure out the bus system at all. One day we walked to the food court stop to avoid making so many stops and we ended up circling all the stops anyways on the way to Magic Kingdom-Frustrating to say the least! Jamaica seemed to always be the first off though coming back from the parks, thankfully!

Buses were always packed full, no matter what time of day. The resort overall is very nice but the 7 bus stops we just can't handle again!

Like I said earlier, we pretty much filled the bus in Jamaica so we didn't have any EVC come on at any of the other stops. I guess we had to go around to all of the stops in case there were people who were returning from the parks. It only took 11 minutes to circle the resort the day earlier so I have no idea why it took so long the next day. All I know is there were a lot of unhappy people on the bus that evening. I was just thankful that we had our car so we could drive to the parks after that. In all our trips, we have never done that. I never realized how easy it was (other than to MK). We are staying at BWV this year so I am happy that we can just walk to two parks.
