We didnt rush to get up today, as we were going to go shopping. However, Emma really didnt want to get up at all. Finally we got over to the food hall and I bought some bread to toast as it was only 69c per pack of 2 slices.
Going back and getting the car, we set off for Port Orleans. As usual, the map was useless, and once wed hit DTD I knew wed gone wrong. As it is so difficult to turn right from Vineland to get back to Crossroads, I said we should go and have lunch at Sweet Tomatoes and then do Premium, and then return to Disney to go and have dinner at Port Orleans.
It turned out that the 2 for $17.99 lunch was a better offer than my birthday offer so we did that one. Lunch was lovely and plentiful and we both finished off with the red velvet lava cake.
Back into the car and I drove over to Premium Outlets. There was a lot of traffic on Vineland, but part of that was because two lanes merged into one. It also didnt take too long to find somewhere to park, as we drove straight to the multi-storey car park and I found a space on the 2nd level.
First stop was the Disney outlet where I found a lovely white and pink zip-up sweat top for only $12.99 from $59.99 and a gorgeous gold/beige Mickey head watch for $39.99 down from $125.00! Bargain! Emma found a pair of trackie bottoms for $8.99 down from $39.99 you really cant argue with that! To match, she found a sweatshirt for around $15.99 again down from about $59.99.
Then it was round to Kipling, where I fell in love with one bag a brand new style/finish (metallic blue/purple) which they were selling at 50% off but then found a patent finish black one in the same style which was a colossal 60% off from $109.99. So, it cost something like $44 (£27-ish). I added a silver Brownie purse at $39.99 and a small toiletry bag for $19.99.
Next I went into Vera Bradley, but unfortunately they only had one style of umbrella in two designs, both heavy and much smaller than the one I got last year (being a 6-spoke rather than an 8-spoke). I spoke to the manageress about the ****-up of my refund last year, but as Id forgotten to bring the receipt with me, there was nothing she could do. She said it didnt sound right; I said it was definitely not, but Id definitely had the discount deducted from the refund.
Finally we went to Skechers where, after trying on half the shop, Emma came away with just one pair of wide-fit black trainers with funky multi-colour trim and bands with memory foam insole. We couldnt find a second pair of anything to have as half price, so we just took the one pair at $59.99 (about £39.00). Thats still a lot cheaper than you can get them for here.
We left now and returned to the car. It took a while to get out of the car park, and a while to get back down Vineland. The tailback went back almost the whole way with cars waiting to turn right. Thank goodness we didnt need to go right! We managed to get over into the left lane and turned down the 535, taking a right onto the 536 to get us back into Disney. This time we found Port Orleans and drove into Riverside. We had a little look round outside, but the resort is too spread out for me to investigate, and there were some little insects around because of all the water.

We went to reception and asked about prices and details, and the girl we spoke to (who was from Blackpool) ran us through it looking at a resort map, and recommended that wed be better off at the French Quarter, as it was so much more compact and easy to navigate.
We then hit the food hall to investigate their build your own pasta. Unfortunately there wasnt one sauce I could eat. The veg with the carvery was horrible, the salad looked too much, and I really didnt want anything else. I ended up with chicken nuggets more as a fallback than anything else. They didnt have the drink I wanted, and then I couldnt find any barbecue sauce (only ketchup) and no straws. So, I certainly wouldnt want to stay there on the basis of me not being able to find anything I wanted to eat after all that. Emmas pasta was huge, but I couldnt try any of it due to it having onion, mushroom and garlic in it. I did have cherry cobbler (actually crumble) and a scoop of strawberry Edys ice cream with it, which was nice at least.

We then drove back to our resort. Emma was going to go over to MK, but she was too tired and thought it best to have an evenings rest. When we got back to the room, her new band didnt open the door, so I said wed pop into Custom House on the way out in the morning and see if they could sort it.
Spent the rest of the evening catching up with my diary and downloading photos - and then we had an early night.
