CAREFUL renting cars

I've been searching for a rental for 10/21 to 10/23 (10th anniversary trip). I wanted to save $$$ on the car, so I've been searching only for compacts and mid-sizes. After several efforts, I decided to check out full size prices -- and it turned out to be $15 a day LESS than compacts at both Alamo and National!!!

I guess the smaller cars sell faster - driving up those prices.

Anyway, I settled on $30.95 per day for a National full size (minus a few dollars for Disney Club).

The frequently run specials on different size cars. sometimes the economy cars are more expensive than the compacts, sometimes the compacts are more expensive than the intermediates.
Depends on what specials they throw out there. I just keep checking.
