Hello people! I just got back from Disney World, had a great time of course :yay: And I was on the internet and discovered the Career Start and College Programs, which I didn't even know they existed! They sound pretty cool. I graduated high school last year, and took off a year to work. I plan on starting community college this September.

Anyways, I was thinking about doing the College Program in my second semester of freshman college. But of course, I want to do it like right now! :cool2:

SO, What are the starting and ending dates for the Career Start?, I don't want it to interfere with starting college. I'd like to do it this summer, otherwise, I'd have to wait for almost a year to start the College Program in January.

Muchos Gracias :hippie:

I don't know much about the CS. But I do know about the CP. For the CP, you have to have completed at least one semester in college and be in good standing with your school. There are 2 different seasons for the CP. They are the Spring and Fall programs. It goes like this:
Spring- Jan to May
Spring Advantage- Jan to Aug
Fall- May/June to early Jan
Fall Advantage- Aug to early Jan

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Thanks for the info Joanna! It looks like the CP in Spring of next work will work best. I'm just impatient and want to do it right away!

Question - I read somewhere that cast members are required to trade like 2 pins a day whilst in the parks. Is that true? I never knew anything about this pin trading business until my recent trip down there. It's a pretty cool concept popcorn::

I'd love to ask you some questions next time you're on. You sound like an expert on the College Program! And I suppose you must like it since you're going back again :thumbsup2

You have pins to trade, but there is no minimum of how many you have to trade. You just have to have a certain amount on the lanyard. Also, not all locations do pin trading. And sure, that is fine. Hope to hear from you.

Oh ok! Do they GIVE you pins to start with, or do you have to buy them? I was looking at some and they are like 8-10$ a peice! lol. That's a bit steep when you're working on a disney salary :rolleyes1

At work they give you pins. They are just for work and trading with guests though.
