Career Start??

I know, I know... It got cancelled for this year (2012).. But, I was wondering if any Disney Veteran or anyone in general knows any information is to if it will be returning for 2013...

I just graduated high school and am currently taking time off to get a job. I came across the Career Start Program just recently (already knew about the CP), and was like AWESOME!!! Went to the website and found they weren't taking applications. I did further research and found that it might have been cancelled for good, or brought back.

The last program they had for Career Start was Spring 2011. My guess is that it is gone for now, unless the economy suddenly turns around.(labor needs suddenly increase).

With the popularity of the CP program, it is doubtful they will bring it back any time soon which is a shame really. My DD was lucky enough to do the Fall 2010 program having no real direction as to what she wanted to do after HS. CS gave her an opportunity to follow some dreams, see how it is working in the real world and help her decide her path. She stayed on after the program and is now seasonal and attending college as a business major. I think if she had gone to college right after HS she would not have done so well or even enjoyed it. Doing CS gave her so many opportunities and a chance to find her way.

I do hope they consider bringing it back sometime down the line.
