Care to share your favorite recipe that uses canned pineapple?

So I made two Pineapple Upside Down cakes today for our visits with both sides of our families tomorrow. They came out great even though I forgot to grease the pans. Thank you Tinkerbell81284, it was a very easy recipe (I also added marischino cherries to the insides of the pineapple rings). Can't wait to try a taste tomorrow!

Growing up my best friends mother used to make this cake it is very easy and yummy. DS's used the recipe while camping in cubscouts, they baked it in a box oven and it was the best dessert in our pack.


Dump Cake

1 can cherry or blueberry pie filling
1 22oz can crushed pineapple, drained
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 c. chopped walnuts
2 sticks butter or margarine

Dump the pie filling in the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch pan, spread evenly. Dump the pineapple over that. Dump the cake mix to evenly cover the fruit. DO NOT add anything or mix the layers. Sprinkle on the nuts. Cut butter into small pieces and scatter over the nuts covering the top as much as possible.

Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
