Well, we're here in Orlando - landed at 4pm US time, picked up our hire car (a green Chrysler Pacifica - thanks Johnny!) and headed to our villa. Temperature didn't drop till about 9pm, it was hovering around the high 80's from when we arrived!
Currently 75 degrees, expected to hit high 80's / low 90's today - and we're off to Magic Kingdom! We jumped in the pool last night after a shopping trip at Publix to stock up on essentials, ended up going to bed at midnight having got out of the pool at about 11.15pm!!
Travel City Direct - I know they get quite a bad 'write-up', but our experience
so far has been very positive - turned up at Gatwick at 7.45, checked in immediately (check-in desks were open half hour early), went through security, which makes me laugh:

Please take your laptop out and put it through separately
no problem here, but i enquired if they would like me PDA thru separate as well, since it is a mobile computer just as powerful as the laptop in terms of abilities, but they only wanted laptops....
Plane took off 15 minutes late -
not TCD's fault - US Security were late sending the all clear to the captain so we had to wait a few mins for the yanks to 'allow' us to clear - for those that don't know the procedure, the captain faxes the passenger manifest to the Dept of Homeland Security, who check the names and passports, and then come back with an all clear / send in the heavies and we're on our way!
Travelled Sunshine Upper, food was lovely (Sausage & Mash for lunch, followed by scones for afternoon tea), service was great - big shout out to Lorraine our stewardess - she's stuck on a flight in a couple of day's time on her birthday poor thing but carried on smiling!!
So, we're off to MK today to say hello to Mr Mouse.
Best be off - getting dirty looks from DW as we should be leaving in about two or three minutes to go park up!
Later all,
Barry
