Cardiff check-in times

I thought I would post this info as there seems to be a lot of speculation in the media about very long check-in times for flights to USA.

I have just recieved an e-mail from Cardif Airport Information Desk stating that there is a 4 hour check-in for all trans-atlantic flights.

I only checked in 3 hours before flight to NY from Heathrow last October - is this 4 hours thing new?
