Anyone know if this new shop is open yet? We arrive at WDW next week, and I'm dying to try the freshly made caramel corn!

One shop at Epcot will close this fall (2009)to make room for another. In the Germany Pavilion, the "Glas und Porzellan" shop will close and in late September "Karamelle-Kuche" (Caramel Kitchen) will open in its place. The new shop wil resemble an Old World German caramel shop. Among the offerings will be fresh caramel popcorn, caramel apples, caramel-covered strawberries and marshmallows, all handmade by cast members in the shop's show kitchen. This new store will be the world's only free-standing retail location for Storck, who are the makers of Werther's Original candies. Because of this, some products will be available here that are not available anywhere else. Other items for sale include gourmet caramels, cookies, brownies, fudge and cupcakes.
…We have a little more information about the Werther's Candy Shop we told you about last month that's opening in Epcot's Germany pavilion this fall. The official name will be Karamelle-Küche, which is German for “caramel kitchen” and it will replace the Glas und Porzellan shop. Cast members will make fresh caramel popcorn, caramel apples, caramel-covered strawberries and marshmallows in a show kitchen in the shop. You'll also be able to buy gourmet snacks including fudge, brownies, cupcakes, cookies and, of course, caramels. Storck, makers of Werther’s Original Caramels, are behind the shop, and since it's their only free-standing retail location in the world, you'll be able to find some unique items there in addition to the usual Werther's Original candy. The location is expected to open in late September, in time for this fall's Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.
