We are staying at Poly Nov 27th - December 2. After that stay we are moving off site and going to Universal a few days. The main reason we chose the Poly was to be on the Monorail line and close to the TTC.
I got the rental car reserved today and realized that it's $150 cheaper to rent car for the entire week than just the last 3 days of the trip so we are picking up a rental car at the Dolphin on day 2 of the trip.
Which days would it make sense to drive rather than take Disney transportation? We are a group of 5 (me, DH, 18 YO DS, 12 YO DD and 9 YO DD) and here is our itinerary:
Nov 27th (Sat, 2 days after Thanksgiving) arrive at MCO at 7:02 AM and take ME to Poly. If weather is good we'll go to Blizzard Beach. We WON'T have rental car this day so will depend on buses for transportation. We'll be back at Poly for dinner at Kona and then watch Wishes from Beach.
November 28th (Sunday) Take bus to rope drop at HS. Stay at HS til early afternoon and then head to Dolphin to pick up car. We currently have ADR for Mama Melroses but I think I'll cancel. We will then have car and I was thinking from there we'd head over to Downtown Disney for Late Lunch early Dinner. HS has late EMH that night so then probably back to HS.
November 29th (Monday) Day at MK -- no brainer, we'll take the Monorail or launch.
November 30th (Tuesday) Day at Epcot -- arrive at rope drop and stay until early afternoon. Head back to poly for rest and swim and then back to Epcot for evening. We have ADR at WCC at 8:50 that evening but I'm working on changing them to earlier in the evening so we'd go from Poly to WCC for dinner and then to Epcot for Illuminations. I'm thinking Monorail from TTC is best way to get to Epcot and leave car parked at Poly for the day?
December 1st (Wedensday) Day at AK. Plan to arrive at rope drop and stay until early afternoon. Head back to Poly for rest and swim. That evening is EMH at AK and then we have 9:00pm ADR at Boma. I'm thinking we'd use care this day?
December 2nd (Thursday) Early EMK at MK so we'd head over there for a couple hours and then back to Poly to check out. We are planning on spending rest of the day at Epcot so we'd probably pack up car and drive over to Epcot unless it would be better to pack up car and take Monorail to Epcot. When we're finished with that day we'll be driving to Residence Inn in Lake Buena Vista where we'll be staying for 3 day (free w/ Marriott rewards points.
