car to port canaveral

Are there options other for dropping/picking up a car near port canaveral? We did use them without any problems last time, but wanted to look for some comparison prices.

Also, was wondering about daily verses weekly rates with the cruise. We are only cruising 3 days, so it almost seems that it would be better to get the car for the week (we're at the parks one day before and 3 days after), and park it while we're on the boat. Has anyone done this? Is it worth the cost of the parking or might the rental car company let us just keep it with them while we're gone?

I remember seeing them all on Hwy A1A south of the port...can't remember which one was the closest though ( Budget-maybe??). Some of the agencys were a few miles away.

Avis is located at the Radisson at Port Canaveral. We dropped our luggage off at the ship and then went to Avis, which is just a few minutes from the port. We took their free shuttle back to the port. It was very easy and convienent! If you want to check their rates, the code for Port Canaveral is P3F.
