Car Service Question

Hi Everyone,
My family and I are heading to Disney 9/22 and I have a transportation question. We booked a car service to pick us up at the GF and take us to the airport. (I arranged when I made the Disney reservations). So today when the concierge person called from the GF I asked her to help me out. I would like to make sure that we have 2 car seats for the trip. She told me that they can only guarantee 1 car seat, and the car service it considered a “commercial” car so the kids don’t need to be in a car seat. I am not okay with this at all (my kids are 3 and 9 months). Now I can drag my big old car seat with me but I would prefer not too. I thought that by booking and paying extra for the car service I could get 2 car seats. BTW- I also asked if I could rent the second one from the car service and that was not an option according to the GF concierge. I can’t be the only one who has taken 2 kids to Disney and requested 2 car seats. Her advice for me was to either buy one when I get here (???) Or to just put my 3 year old in the seat with a regular belt (keep in mind this is just a town car).

So my question is has anyone done the car service? Has anyone gotten 2 car seats?

Also should I expect a little more service from the concierges at the GF? She basically told me I was out of luck and I should just call the car service myself. I thought she would have been a little more helpful.

Any advice would be great! Thanks

Did you book the car service thru Disney? I don't have experience with that, but it may just be Mears that will pick you up.
You may want to book your own car service. I have used Sunray Transportation and I have recommended them to someone on the Dis who also needed 2 car seats and another car service was not able to accomodate them. It wouldn't hurt to check with them to see if they would charge extra for the 2 carseats. The website is www.sunraytransportation.com.
My kids are both way past the car seat age, but I know I wouldn't feel comfortable either with a 3 yr old just buckled in, especially since there is some highway driving between WDW and the airport.

First off, a car service is not considered commercial and does require seats for children under 4 years old PERIOD. The person at the concierge is uninformed and sounds a bit rude. Yes, from a Disney concierge you should expect more and in most cases you will get more. However I do admit there are not a whole bunch of car services that provide two seats and in your case an infant car seat and a regular car seat.

You need to get to work yourself and find a car service that carries two baby seats. It will not be a town car. because they actually don't have room to carry two seats. The vehicle you choose should be an SUV or a van. Second off you have a 9 month old and in most cases that requires a infant seat, in other words it faces to the rear. There are car services that provide that and more but you have to find them yourself. Most concierges have no idea where to find this type of accommodations.
