Don't know if it's appropriate to post this here since I'm asking about NJ but I've seen quite a few people on here from NJ so I thought I'd try.

When I booked my flights I thought if I leave early and come back late that means more time at Disney! Well, now I'm thinking about how much I'm not going to enjoy Newark airport economy parking at 6 a.m. on the way out and after 1 a.m. when I get back. Especially since I'm travelling alone!

So now I'm considering taking a cab or car service. I could take a regular taxi but then I have to call when I'm ready and wait for them to show up. That makes me nervous. I would feel much more comfortable with something I could arrange in advance for a specific pick-up time. I don't know of any reliable car service companies though. Can anyone help me out? Oh - I live in Hoboken if that matters. TIA and sorry for rambling on and on.

Hi. Instead of a car service, you might consider doing a Park & Fly at one of the Newark Airport hotels. I did this 2 years ago at the Airport Hilton, and it worked out great. I think we paid $119 to stay there the night before we left (we also had an early flight), and left our car there for the week in a covered garage. We used the hotel shuttle to get us to and from the airport.

Some of the hotels are not listed as offering Park & Fly, but you could call them. They just might not advertise it.

I used to travel out of EWR a lot for work, and unfortunately, I can't recommend a good, consistently reliable car service. I was stranded too many times (even once at 11pm on a Friday night) to recommend a good one. Perhaps I'm just a Calamity Jane, and other fellow New Jerseyans can make some recommendations.

Good luck!

I've used SkyPark for a few years now, and have been happy with them. They are on 1&9 between the Days Inn and the Bud Brewery.

They will drop you off right at your car, their lot is monitored and well lit, I've never felt unsafe, even in the midldle of the night.

I asked this question when I went to the World with my family this past July. I found it somewhat odd that there are about 50 car services that are discussed in Florida, but none in our hometowns. I like to take a car from our house because we have a little one and it is just easier than parking. So, if anyone is in the South Jersey area( I'm in Cherry Hill) and is looking for a reasonable and reliable car or limo service, let me know or email me and I will give you their information.

Thanks for the suggestions. A hotel doesn't really seem like a good idea to me since I'm so close to the airport to begin with. I might try the SkyPark idea. But I still have the hassle of getting to my car and driving home when it's late and I'm tired. Even if it is safe that doesn't sound like fun. I don't usually fly into EWR so late, but normally there are always cabs lined up at the taxi stand, so I'm not so worried about getting home. I'm more concerned about stressing to get to my early AM flight and no cab. I think the more I thought about taking a car the better it sounded. There's something to be said for door to door service. ::yes:: So... not that I don't appreciate the responses... but, does anyone know of a reliable car service?

Oh! Just saw this after I posted my reply. Do you know if your car service would work for my area? PM me if you don't want to post it here. If you're not sure, I don't mind calling them to find out. TIA!
