So I was reading others posts....do I need a car seat for my 2 1/2 year old on the disney express? I was not planning on bringing one. Does anyone know about the Grayline tours also? We are taking that one day also. I guess I just figured we wouldn't need them. I probably should be more strict and bring a car seat but I don't really want to hassle with it at the airport and everywhere else.

No you don't need one.... atleast the law doesn't require you to use one....

You don't need carseats for either - the Grayline tour bus we took to Sea World was a double-decker bus (all seats did have lap belts).

Thanks for the info! Good to know, I really didn't want to have to lug a carseat along with everything else!

If we have to wear seat belts on airplanes why aren't they even an option on most buses? That kind of bothers me, especially when children are involved.

Coach buses use something called compartmentalization to protect passengers. Just like many school buses.

I'm a total fanatic about carseats in vehicles that have seatbelts (and I actually really dislike limousines because you can't use carseats on side/rearfacing seats, it just doesn't work), but if I'm in a big bus I relax. My dad was a Greyhound driver (when they were Union and good and reliable and the drivers had uniforms and sayso on their buses and paid attention and could boot off a drunk on the side of the highway!) and I nearly grew up spending every other weekend on the bus...I'm just comfortable on them with the high seats etc.
