Hi,

Does anybody have any recommendations for a reputable and reliable car seat rental company (2 toddler seats and 2 booster seats)?

Prior to our Disney trip we're going to spend a few days in Cocoa Beach and go to Kennedy Space Center and so we're renting a minivan for a few days. However, to avoid lugging 4 car seats across the country, I'd like to just rent them :goodvibes

I would need a rental company that was able to delivery to the airport or rental car agency and then pick-up at the airport, because, after our mini-trip to the beach, we're using DME to actually get to/from Disney World.

I have tried calling www.travelbabees.com and they haven't returned my phone calls...

Thanks for any suggestions!

There are a few reasons we prefer not to use the car rental seats:
1. Most rental companies are first-come-first-serve, and so there's no guarantee that you'll get one (or 4 in our case).

2. Cost is significantly higher through the car rental companies ($12-15 per day in some cases, as opposed to $5-7 at most specialty rental companies)

3. Quality and cleanliness is often much worse at the car rental facilities.

We've only ever rented car seats when traveling to Phoenix, so I'm just not familiar with the companies in Orlando. There are quite a few of them listed online, I'm just not sure which ones are reputable vs. which ones may leave us stranded at the airport without the seats...

Try A Baby's Best Friend - abbf.com

They rent a lot of baby-related stuff, they may have car seats. And they may, yes, be willing to meet you at the airport.

Just a note that there's a maximum of $49. per rental for car seats with some car rental companies, Alamo for one.

Florida Baby Gear. I have not gotten a car seat from them but the strollers and cribs we have rented have been in very good shape and the staff is very nice.

We have used a babys best friend for other baby items and have been happy.

ITA lugging 4 carseats would be a pain but I would probably check at least the two toddler seats in a duffle or car seat bag. My sil has a carseat bag that rolls :)

Most airlines don't charge for baby gear.

This way you know you at least have the most important ones and that they are in safe/clean condition. Then you could stop a wallmart/target and get two low backed boosters for less than the cost of renting one.

Good luck!

Won't help you with four seats needed, but if you have AAA the Hertz rate through them includes one child seat. No clue if three more paid on top of that is worth anything, but just though I'd mention.
