What car rental company would you recommend using at LAX?

I don't mind recommending Relay Rides. Car rental minus deposit and fees. Airbnb of car rentals.
Actually some people offer luxury and sports cars. Plus personal pickup/Dropoff at airport.

No-frills Car Rental: Advantage

Upscale Car Rental: Hertz / National

We used Budget recently because they were by far the cheapest out of any companies we had heard of. We picked up the car Saturday morning on 10/10. We waited 45 minutes in line; outside in the 95 degree heat for half of it. If you can afford to pay more, don't use Budget.

I second Only Hope's suggestion. Anyone BUT Budget. The worst car rental experience anywhere is the Budget at LAX.

Enterprise is pricey but the quickest and best customer service IMO.

I've twice used Midway Car Rental, not the cheapest, not the most expensive, but excellent customer service and had no wait either time I collected the car. I would have used them again this year but we flew in to SFO, their northernmost location is BUR...
