I know that there is a Hertz rental agency in one of the onsite hotels but I found a rental place where the prices are alot cheaper. It is U-Save on Major Boulevard, has anyone used this company before and is it within walking distance of HRH ? I did a mapquest of it and it looks like it is pretty close.

I can't help you with U-Save, as we have always rented from Hertz. But did want to say that you might get a lot more answers on the transportation board. Lots of car rental experts there

I will also need a rental. and I know Hertz is just about the most expensive. I think there is a car rental place in the Doubletree near Universal. Not sure who though.

Lots of good codes at mousesavers.com. Also, as I mentioned above, lots of hints on the transportation board. Alamo and National seem to have the best codes.

However, with their tips/hints/codes on both these places, we found an Excursion for $200.00 cheaper with Hertz than the other cheaper places such as Alamo's Suburban.

Check out the codes on the transportation board. If they are for your same dates, they are great!

Definately try mousesavers. We are just back on 7/3 and reserved using National and Emerald Aisle. Wound up with a PT Cruiser turbo convertible for $125 for 8 days. Price included all fees.
