Car rentals near DL

I am a first time poster, an avid reader of the forum though ... We will be spending 5 nights in DL, April 18-23th. Usually we rent a car at the airport and use it to travel back and forth to LAX and usually take a 1 day day trip somewhere. That is the full extent we use a car. So we decided this trip we will just take the shuttle from the airport and rent a car for a day. What i am trying to figure out is where do you get a car for the day? We are staying at the BWPPI and want to be able to get the car easily without taking shuttles ... is there anywhere on harbour that rents cars? Do i need to book in advance or can i just do it while i'm there? We arrive on a wednesday and i would want the car for the sunday.

I know that there is an Alamo office in downtown Disney. It opened about a year or so ago. We rented a care years ago, and had it delivered. I think it may have been enterprise. They delivered it, then picked it up when we were done with it. Might check on that as well as the local offices.
