Car Rentals in May

My Alamo midsize is down to $125 for May 2-11. Unbelievable. Its up today from yesterday, and with me leaving on Monday, I don't see it going any lower.

June traveler here low-jacking the thread...early June so its very close to May.

Alamo Insider and coupons rates have helped me out so far with another reduction today; better than what I was able to get Tuesday (2 days ago). So far Alamo deals are showing up the best for me out of MCO. $180 for mid-size for 9 days right now.

I'll keep checking & expect National and others may come around with lower prices. If not, I'm at a comfortable rate already. I think I paid close to this for 4 days in March.

I have another question....My sister lives in the same house as me. I know with Alamo, a spouse can be added on as an additional driver at no extra charge. Would my sister qualify??? And what documentation do we need to provide for this??

Mother/Father, Son/Daughter, Brother/Sister living in the same house may also be added as an additional driver. I believe all you need is your licenses showing the same address. Should be able to find this on Alamo's website.

Re: the email code. If you're an Alamo Insider, you should have gotten an email with the promotion, unless you opted out of emails when you set up your account.

But anyone who's an Insider can use that code, regardless of whether you got it in an email or from this site. It's the same code for all Insiders. So there's no cheating involved as long as you've registered as an Insider. Go for it!

Alamo just went down AGAIN! Our compact for 5/7-5/14 is now $71.79 out the door! This is with the recent Insider code plus the $40 coupon. Holy Cow!

My midsize car rental for May 20-28th is now down to $111.45. That's down a little over $22 since yesterday and $27 since Monday! Thanks for posting the new Insider code. I didn't get the e-mail either.

Just got the rental down to $101.66! Can't believe how many reservations I've made and cancelled in the last couple weeks. My rate has dropped well over $100 since I first booked back in the beginning of Feb. My DH just laughs every time I tell him what my latest deal is.

Heading down in 3 weeks and our rental with National just went down another $30

Total $165.46 (taxes included) for a mid-size for 11 days (same rental with Alamo is just over $163 and although we know Alamo/National is the same company, we prefer National)
