With using my Costco ID (7015309) and the $40 coupon (AD4027JDO) with my insiders number, I was able to get my 7 day compact rental down to $117.82.

Using the same codes my parents were able to get a 7 3/4 day mid-size rental from May 21-28 for $153.49.

I was able to get the National minivan discount when I booked yesterday morning before they cancelled it. Using the Contract ID 5007160 and the $35 coupon ND8578adt, I was able to get our Minivan from May 16-28 picking up and returning at MCO for $283.25! That is $83 cheaper than the "wild card" hot deal we originally booked through thrifty back in October!

I didn't know your times, so crunched the numbers to pick up at 11:30AM from MCO and drop off at MCO at noon and I get a total of $170 for a full size. I don't know if you're interested in saving $60 if these times are close vs dropping off at the CCC. Just a thought. If you pick up at noon and drop off at noon the price is similar to yours, but if you drop back only 30 minutes on the pickup time, it drops your rate alot. Some reason it seems to drop the rates when they are on the half hour. Strange.

Thanks for all the codes everyone! I must have missed the window for the low rates taking care of my little one here. I am still seeing a minivan for April 29-May8 in the $700-$800 range. We definitely need the van as we are in charge of transporation for our reunion. I will keep my Disboards page open for any other ideas so I can jump on them. What time are you picking up? I found this strange thing this morning when checking for my DD for a May 7th pickup. IF she picks up at noon the rates are high, but if she picks up at 11:30 the rates drop. So try making your pick up on the half hour. The minivan offer only came up if I put in 11:30, but not noon....strange.

we have noticed this hour half hour glitch for one week rentals, plus going over the seven day rental by an hour the past couple of years, but since most of our rentals are now for longer periods than 7 days have not had to deal with trying to "out glitch" the system

it seems it was not only a National thingy too, but also worked similar with Alamo

My friends rate just dropped yesterday too. While it's a pick up for April 30 I did post here in May. She picks up April 30 and drops off May 6. While my May rental has been dropping, hers has been staying high. Finally the EA for her time frame dropped all the way to a total of $138. I'm still holding at $271 for a 13 day rental for a minivan (TOTAL). I don't think it could get any lower. It ends up being a total of $135.50 a week (2 week rental). I do enjoy choosing from Executive Aisle, but I coudn't pass up the guaranteed minivan this time for this price (which currently is only $31 higher than the EA rental).

The codes I generally use are 5007160 and there is a $35 coupon ND8578ADT, but I'm using the Enter. coupon (for a rental over 10 days) for $40 off. The minivan rental I got came up on Monday of this week and I booked it, along with a few others and the lower price is gone now. Plus if you adjust your times by 30 minutes it was having a big impact on what price you paid and what was available (as mentioned, we've seen this scenario before). For my DD I have her coming in May 7 - 14 pick up at noon and drop off at noon, but when I switched to pick up at 11:30AM and drop off at noon, the price dropped (alot) and the minivan popped up available for cheap. Good luck, but you may be a little early right now. As in the past (sometimes) the prices started dropping as we got weeks out. Check your Alamo weekly rates for the end of May- mine just dropped to $113.84 for a midsize. Really hoping I might get it under $100. before we leave.
Only used my Alamo Insiders code and the $40. off coupon. Hope this might help some of you - you surely have helped me out.

How are you guys finding such great deals? I'm looking at a car from 5/17 (MCO)-5/25 (return at TPA) and I can't find anything under about $215 for an economy car!
