Car Rental

That would depend, are you doing two one way rentals? If so, that would require you to rent from a company with a location in cape canaveral. It would also depend on what kind of booking discounts you can find, and ultimatly the price, milage included, and comfort with the company.
I personally chose Budget, round trip, because it wound up (even with parking) coming in just a hair more for the week, but that convienience of walking off the ship and to the car is worth that difference to me

We did two one-way rentals with Budget. From MCO to Port $51, from Port to MCO $41.

I used Avis one way each way. A tip is to sign up for Avis preferred. You literally walk out of the airport to the car waiting for you. Show an ID and you are GONE. On the return to Canaveral you kind of catch the attention of the agent and say I am Avis preferred and they hand you the contract and you are GONE.

I also suggest (especially on return) only sending one person on the bus to get the car and come back to the port to pick up the rest of your party with luggage. I have seen many folks miss a van because they insist on hauling all their people and stuff.

We rented at MCO and parked at the port. We used Alamo. I usually find the best deals there. You can sign up for their free Insiders club which has some great discounts and allows you to add a driver for free. I just rented a minivan for 9 days and it was around $255! My husband had a midsize for 5 days at $61.
