Car Rental??

Wondering if there is still a car rental agency within the Disney property? I know that years ago we were able to do that...

Yes - there is one at the Car Care Center over near the MK (they will pick you up at your resort) and another at the Dolphin.

It's Alamo btw, and Disney did just renew their contract with them. Do compare though - you might find that renting from the airport location for the whole time is cheaper than a few days. Here are the location codes for the Orlando area Alamo's:

Don't just look at Alamo; almost all the major car rental agencies have offices either on WDW property or nearby and most will send a courtesy shuttle to get you. We've used Avis at the Hilton across the street from DTD several times.

Yes - note I just priced a car for my trip next year. If I rented from the Dolphin for 8 days and returned to the airport - it was about $450.

If I rented from the airport and returned to the airport for 11 days
, the same car is $234! Note though, I could get an SUV for the same price with the Dolphin/air port option.

There is no predicting, except where they have the most cars (i.e. the airport) the rates will be cheapest.

I have seen cars cheaper from Dolphin and other times cheaper from airport, so it is worth checking both options.

We used Hertz at Shades of Green last week. They'll pick you up at your resort, and they'll drop you off afterwards if you drop off during their business hours. Because the small SUV I had requested was needed at the airport, I was upgraded to a full size SUV with a GPS and an entertainment system. They were very nice to work with.
