Car Rental

Hi. I'm just wondering if there is anywhere on Disney property to rent a car? We won't be needing one for our entire stay, just a day or two. Is this possible? Thanks.

Alamo is at the Car Care Center (by MK), Alamo and National rentals at the Dolphin, and there are some at the hotels by DTD (don't know which ones).

You can look online for rates and I suggest making your reservation, too. The day before you are renting your vehicle, give the agency a call and make an appointment for the shuttle to pick you up and take you to the rental place. You can also have the shuttle return you to your resort when you turn in your vehicle.

I don't want to waste $ on a car that will sit in a parking lot for a week when I only need it for a day or two. Thank you for the info!!!

I do highly recommend making a reservation even if you want a car for 1 day. I don't know when you are going, but they may be fully booked and not have cars to rent for people who just walk in without a reservation. I always rent a car during our trips (have done so for many, many years) and I have witnessed people trying to walk up and rent without a ressie. Even during slow times (our last trip was this past January) there may be conventions or other things of that nature that take all the rentals!

Sometimes it can be cheaper to rent a car for a whole week from the airport rental agencies then it is to to get a car at Disney for a day or two. It was us. Be sure to do your research.
