I have been pricing rentals and can't seem to find anything resonable IE: last may we got a mid size car for 175 C online from the car center near MK now this year its like close to 300 us anyone know of a place to rent one that is cheaper with shuttle from POp to get it please any help would be great on this ty

With codes that I get from mousesavers, I can usually get a pretty good rate.

I've also noticed that the Car Care Centre and the Rental at the Dolphin are now charging an extra $20.00 for something or other.

Car rental rates have gone through the ceiling this year. We used to be able to get an economy car at the airport (MCO) from LM Car Rental for under $13.00 per day but they are now over $25.00 per day.

Have secured a mid size SUV from Alamo for Apr 27 to May 12 for just under 300.00 total. Can't even find an economy car from anyone that can beat that.

Try Mousesavers and going thru Costo.com. Also keep checking back after you get something and then see if the rates go down.

It is brutal that you can fly from BUF to MCo cheaper than you can rent a car.

Using the code from Costco on the Alamo web sit I just got a Midsize SUV (Chevrolet Equinox) for 10 days for a total of $163.90 US, at todays exchange rate thats only $187.94 Canadian or $18.80 a day including taxes. This is being picked up when we arrive at the airport because it was almost $10.00 a day more from the Car Care Centre on Disney Property. So I guess we won't be using the Magical Express this time. I will still put in the paperwork so that the send me the Tinkerbell luggage tags.

WOW! Rental rates are up and down like a YoYo. Yesterday I managed to lower my rate from $107.85 per week to $103.22 per week and today it's up to $116.95.

Thank you for the info. I tried the codes you sent me (for a dec trip) and the rate came up to over $1000 (for three weeks).
I will keep the codes and try them as we get closer to our trip time, hopefully the rates will lower substantially.

I have found that you can't really book anything that far out and get a good rate. I think optimal booking times are 120 days or less, however, after the 120 day mark, rates are based on supply and demand. If there is high demand, rates increase as the date comes closer. If demand is low, rates continue to drop.

In my experience booking early got the best rate. Last January I booked a midsize for 10 days in July and paid $170 USD including taxes. Right up until the week of our trip I continued to search for the best deal and the prices only increased each time I checked. I had numerous discount codes for all the major rental companys. I do agree that rates are dependant on demand and the time of year. Having said that, we were there in high season and I think the rate we paid was excellent and I only got it by booking far in advance.
